Tom Clancy has died
Re: Tom Clancy has died
I liked the games. I've been playing through all of them on the Gamecube. Splinter Cell Double Agent has been the best in the series so far, and even Ghost Recon is a neat spin on the FPS formula. No opinion on the books, but the games were good.

Sad to see him go. Rest in piece.
I have never read any of his books. I enjoyed some of the film adaptions.
About the games I have to ask, do they have anything to do with the books?

Love the "I liked his games" comments.
Re: Tom Clancy has died
AFAIK, the games were inspired by his books, using the same characters. I don't think he personally had any involvement with them, except for the Red Storm Entertainment company which he created. Some of the games showed me that tactical FPS are crazy good. I just happened to be a fan of those games, is all.ZeroAX wrote:Sad to see him go. Rest in piece.
