We got a fucking comedian. I'm not punk or goth and by druggy I mean junkies not stoners. I am no longer a stoner may I say.

What is this the 1970's when arcades were perceived as dives for slackers, punks and bikers. Was Elton John there... or The Who... or Tommy from the movie Tommy?

She kind of just claws the crap out of the doorknob until it twists all the way, and from there obviously it's easy to nose it open. It's not all that uncommon for a dog to figure out, but it's cool nonetheless.

edit: It basically looks like this:
I had a dog that would do this as well as climb fences. She was a lab/weimaraner mix and was smart as hell. We couldn't figure out how she was getting out of her pen with a 6ft chain link fence until we caught her climbing.
I'm here for your body.

Nope, unfortunately. I guess the 80's never left the arcade. You go there to play games and get hassled for a dollar and or cigarettes.

This will date me...I vividly remember going to the arcades (namely, the "Fun Factory") and seeing ashtrays bolted to the side of the cabinets...because how else are you supposed to play Forgotten Worlds and smoke at the same time?!

Smile: Got a full time job, and it's pretty fun and I can use power tools and work with my hands. I won't need to work out anymore either.

Ticked off: Long, non-negotiable hours. I go to work at 6:00 AM and usually get back at 6:00 or 7:00, and then I eat dinner with my family (I used to eat while reading or watching TV, since I have a lot to do). I'll have just a few hours to hang out with my friends, game, or work on my novel. Looking for game deals takes too long so I think I'll stop.

*googles Fun Factory* Well, that's definitely not an arcade.

Fun Facotry was actually an arcade "chain" in the 1980s. There is a discussion about the chain here.

Smile: The games I ordered for myself for my birthday arrived. Woot!

Frown: Grabbed hold of a cast iron skillet that was somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 deg (F) when I was making BLT's for the family for dinner.

...at least the games look pretty on that shelf!
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'm sure the answer is going to be unsatisfactory, but what possessed you to do such a thing?
The first BG was Monday night around 7:30-8pm. I needed to buy something for my lunch the next day and since it was already dark out I didn't want to walk out too far so I decided to try 7-Eleven first. I found two things of microwavable noodles for $1 each (but only if you bought in multiples of two) and bought that, and since I couldn't scrounge up dinner I had one for dinner. And I was thirsty but unwilling to spend too much, so I figured a 32-oz Big Gulp for a buck was better than a 16-oz Dr Pepper for 30 cents more. But I got a MtDew which had me caffeinated before. The caffeine, combined with the stress of a government shutdown and the nervousness of the shift at EPCOT that I picked up (didn't know my way around, never been there before, and any training on the subject of my job there would have to be done in less time that it takes me to walk to 7-Eleven. So I turned on the TV to see what happened with the shutdown, and the government did shut down. But before I knew it, it was around 3 or 4 in the morning and I was still awake. I also realized that if I did manage to fall asleep right then and there, I'd probably wake up with only mere minutes to get ready for work, which included showering (which I ended up skipping anyway), shaving (had to use my electric razor which pretty much has more than just one foot in the grave), eating lunch, packing something for my breaks, getting dressed into my uniform and so on.

The second BG came at around 6 in the morning. I needed something caffeinated to help with the lack of sleep and again, a Big Gulp is only a buck (though if I walked down to the Circle K, I could have gotten a 48-oz fountain drink, or any sized fountain drink for that matter, for only 69 cents plus tax) and the alternatives were more expensive. An hour later I tried to walk to the Dollar Tree, which is an hour walk, but with little to no food in my stomach to soak up all the sugar and carbonation my stomach got wonked out.

The third came around 1:30 pm, when I needed some more caffeine to get me through since caffeine doesn't last long and when it wears off your body crashes.

But all that MtDew wrecks your insides, making your stomach feeling like it just got its ass kicked in the Octagon. It also makes you shit bad and leaves you thinking you've always gotta piss like Seabiscuit.

:D Had pizza for dinner (not take out) and went to Downtown Disney and just wandered around, checking out a few of my fave shops and popping into Ghirardelli and getting a free piece of chocolate (like the last few times, it was the Pumpkin Caramel variety).

 But when you're broke all you can do wish everything wasn't so expensive (even if you're a cast member and therefore get a discount) and that you had more money. Hope I get another job here soon.
