Played for about4 or 5 hours... got REALLY bored with it.
The missions are repetitive, the combat is really EASY once you get the counter move you can kill ANY amount of enemies. Yeah the history is good but i can't force myself to play the game and watch it.
And the platforming... press 2 buttons and move the stick and you're good to go.
All the mechanics just feel like a lame Prince of persia clone.

Probably one of the biggest wastes of potential this gen hands down.
First game is easily one of my least favorites this gen, holy crap it got old. The Desmond segments completely sucked (wait... they always did, who cared about him?), and yeah. At least the ending and mythos of the series was interesting enough. I'm a sucker for stuff that takes a spin on religion and such like that.
II came around and I was like hailing it as one of the best games I've ever played. What a killer ending too, from what I remember. I got 100% on this one and Brotherhood, which was also good, but an obvious stepdown in terms of length/variety and story.
Simply put though, I don't care what franchise it is and how much I enjoyed a few of these games, you start doing yearly annual releases, and I'm done. Revelations never looked or sounded that good at all, Ezio's story was done and I didn't want more of him, 3 really didn't look that special from watching my roommate play it (and no Jesper Kyd) and now there's already another one around the corner. It's like me and MMO's or something... I don't have the time, patience, money, and interest to stick around with an endless series that gets releases out the booty. I just can't help but laugh when a piece of a trilogy breaks off into its own trilogy... trilogies within trilogies.
Very hesitant about Watch Dogs, coming from the team that started AC I think. I'm sure Ubisoft will make it the new AC next gen, are you ready for 15 more sequels!?

I was planning on playing II and 3 but you guys make this game sound bad. I heard a lot of good things about II and the ending was mind blowing as I heard.
Re: Assassin's Creed , after thoughts-Spoilers
When the mystery was "fully" revealed in III the previous endings felt pretty ridiculous.

Also these games are probably boring as hell to marathon, I wouldn't even attempt that.
Re: Assassin's Creed , after thoughts-Spoilers
I would just play them dude! I think based on your love of the first you would like the sequels. Like Xeo said though, you probably should space them out so you don't get sequel overload.RCBH928 wrote:I was planning on playing II and 3 but you guys make this game sound bad. Re: Assassin's Creed , after thoughts-Spoilers
Just saw a commercial for BLACK FLAG which seems will be available for several consoles.
I love pirate lore, as my University's mascot is a pirate and in Eastern NC you are basically forced to learn about pirates. One thing about the commercial was odd though. During the swashbuckling and fighting they play Drake's "Started from the bottom now we here nigga". It doesn't fit, at all, and is the weirdest choice for a track layover that I've seen/heard in years.

Re: Assassin's Creed , after thoughts-Spoilers
This puts more stress on me, the 2 which takes place in Italy seems amazing but now we got 4 and the other prequels . Backlogging is a stressful thing, they are putting out games faster than we can play them
