That's super awesome on the Vectrex. I'm jealous.

That is very interesting. Technology seems a bit dated for 1983 release though.CRTGAMER wrote:The Vectrex is a Black and White vector screen. The color overlays add color to the game though they do diminish the brightness a little. Only a few games really need the overlay such as Armour Attack.RCBH928 wrote:What are these large cardbox-cutouts look a likes ?The ones in blue and red

Honestly, seeing it in person would change your thinking on that. Everything is super smooth and fast, and looks great.RCBH928 wrote:That is very interesting. I spent a little more time with some of the games, and Armor Attack is my favorite so far, and the Star Trek game is pretty good also.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
It is older technology since the screen is the same as old oscilloscopes, but while everything is drawn with lines so nothing is solid, you don't get jaggies either. It is the same tech as Asteroids, Battle Zone, and Tempest. The original Star Wars Arcade game was the same tech too, just that there were multiple guns so you had a few primary colors to work with instead of just white.RCBH928 wrote:That is very interesting. Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Found this mixed in with the CDs at the pawnshop. Got it for $3. Just about picked up Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy 2 as well for $10 each but right now I am thinking about picking up GTA V and Beyond Two Souls so I'm holding off on getting anymore games that I may or may not play within the next 5 years
.

The new Tri-State Pawn should be opening tomorrow so I'm somewhat excited. Hopefully they have shifted some of their game inventory there since they never seem to want to clean out their shelf space at the current store
. Literally some games have been sitting there for months yet every time they have a tent sale they leave the old stuff on the shelves and put new inventory outside
. I'm also curious to see what pricing will be like since their Ashland location is $2 flat rate for Xbox/PS2/GC and West Huntington charges $3.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I blew the remaining money from my paycheck on Ebay today.
GOW: Ghost of Sparta (new) - $10
Psychonauts - $16
I gave in and bought one on ebay.
Dr. Muto - $3.50
Saw this one of Metal Jesus' videos and thought I'd give it a try.
Wolfenstein - $10
With a grand total of $37.50.
~~~
Also picked up Motorstorm at GS for 99 cents. They gave me a 'not for resale' variant. Is that somewhat harder to find?
Grant Total of $1.07
~~~
I forgot to post these thrift shop finds.
Star Wars - $1.50
Shrek Karting - $1.50
Tony Hawk Pro Skating - $1
Grand Total of $4.37
