I'm up for it, though I can't say for certain which days I can attend for sure or not. Hopefully I can help shuttle from/to the MSP airport as well since it's kind of, sort of, on the way. You know how to reach me so let me know what you need.
My FS/FT/WTTF list:

Greetings - been AWOL a bit and apologies for not updating this for some of you...
Meet-up is still on and here's where things stand as of last night:
In for sure (not all days, but some):
jmbarnes101
JoshClasen
SpoonyBard
Foxhound1022
Chip (friend of mine)
Out:
noiseredux
sevin0seven
A few others I haven't heard from recently can pm me their status or post in thread.
My boys will also be participating in Fighting and Shmup tourneys and will absolutely compete. With current roster we're probably good either way, but one or two more to commit is certainly feasible...

This happened.
Had a great time. Will post more pics tonight, but here's a couple:
My buddy Erik and his wife. This was his first shmup ever - he was getting hooked after about 45 minutes.
Emlynn and Aidric playing Windjammers:
Tagan and Aislynn playing MvC3:
The other pics of my buddy Josh, Chip, ninjainspandex and SpoonyBard are my wife's camera, so i'll get those uploaded shortly.

Great times! Sorry I couldn't make it what with my contract ending and all. Next time!
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Spoony on the left, ninja on the right playing some DC on the custom cab and i'm playing Ketsui on the Astro:
ninjainspandex playing Ganryu - he picked it up fast. Tough game:
Spoony playing Kono E Tako on the bartop cab:
Josh and ninjainspandex (Clifton) playing Garou on the Analogue CMVS. Spoony (Justin) awaiting the winner - and me entertaining the baby:
Friday late night - me, Aidric, Tagan and Clifton playing 007-The World is not enough. Clifton dominated us at FPS:
Late Saturday night, after Josh and Chip went home - Justin, Clifton and I played until the wee hours...first some fighters, then some GCN-FPS and then Mario Party 4. I went to bed at 2am...they were still playing. When I got up about 820am - they were already up playing
A goodbye until next time shot about 1pm today:
We really had a nice time. It was cool to see people play some of the weird stuff I collect. My personal joy is watching others play stuff that i'm not very good at. Justin and Clifton beat Demolish Fist in about 40 minutes and by the end were really good at it.
While they did that - Chip played NFL Blitz 2000 w/me and my boys, Aislynn and Emlynn played Skylanders while Josh played Rally Bike - a vertical racing game on the Astro cab. The sounds in the room at that time were really awesome.
I had my best run ever on Ketsui - Hitting the stage 4 boss of a difficult CAVE game w/4 guys cheering you on is a pretty cool feeling.
Clifton is really strong at action platformers - picks up patters and timing really fast. It was cool to see. Justin "isn't very good" at Garou...according to him, but he schooled me about 4 rounds in a row before I turned it over to Josh. Both Justin and Clifton are good at fighters and pick up supers and specials quickly - on games they've never played even.
We played a fun "Bang Bead" tournament too, which is similar to Windjammers and Flip Shot. Justin won the 8-person tourney. We even played Super Dodge Ball the right way...what a fun game when you figure out all the tricks
Clifton is a beast at Marvel Super Heroes and X-Men v Streetfighter...a beast. He and Justin were pretty even, but Clifton took most. They both killed Josh and I. My buddy Chip watched more than anything - his best comment (of many) was, "Cool, you have a dreamcast - probably the last one in the world, eh? Remember when they were the first system to use CD's and everyone thought they were crazy?"
Chip isn't much of a gamer, never has been, but he's always a good sport and was the only person who would come play games w/me in my early 20's - mostly Monkey Ball and Gauntlet Legends.
There are more highlights and it really was fun! Will have to post up more later...

Oh man, this was a blast. So many great games, and Mike and his family were great hosts! A much needed weekend out of the house and a great time playing games with new people (even if Clifton wrecked me in just about every fighting game we played)
Definitely the highlight. You were a beast! Didn't you clear level 3 without getting hit?mjmjr25 wrote:I had my best run ever on Ketsui
