Can you count the 32X and sega CD as consoles? And put them in the same spot?

Even N Gage and CDi are arguably better than some other horrible systems. For instance the Game.com is a lot worse handheld than the N Gage.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Aside from the add-ons which aren't systems, they're pretty bad systems.

This is false.

The Odyssey was groundbreaking for the time and is still fun to play today (especially if you know someone with all the screen overlays). Calling the Odyssey "bad" is absurd anyway - it was the first game console.

The 3DO rules - Lucienne's Quest, Guardian War, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Star Control II, the D&D games, Bust-A-Move, D, Flashback, Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller, Policenauts, Princess Maker 2, Samurai Shodown, Road Rash, + many solid sports titles.

Jaguar is weaker than the 3DO, but still far from terrible. Try Tempest 2000 sometime.

Virtual Boy is the weakest of the bunch I've mentioned - I'll give ya that. However, it's more of a case of bad hardware than bad games. The Wario game is awesome, as are most of the other first-party Nintendo titles.

If you're talking game Quality vs. Quantity, the VB is one of the best systems ever.

Is first better? It doesn't belong on this list, but I probably wouldn't call the Odyssey a good console regardless.

It's not TERRIBLE, but I wouldn't call it a good system. I really doubt anyone here is recommending their friends to buy 3DOs.

They have their games, it's not like I'm saying they're crimes against humanity.

Yeah, it has nice games. Pretty fun to play via emulation, but my friends say playing that shit in real life is as terrible as its reputation says.

That was pretty much what I'd expect from Yahoo.

Flake wrote:I share that opinion and it's a logical line of thinking...all the way up to the point that they came up with a working prototype. Nintendo has admitted that every year they come up with dozens of potential products that the public never becomes aware of and shelves them after doing market research.

At some point, their system broke down with the Virtual Boy. I strongly suspect someone's ego was on the line and they forced the product through despite all negative signs, same as whoever thought it was a good idea to bring the Gameboy Micro to market on the eve of the Nintendo DS release.
Internet hearsay has it that the purpose of the GBM was to be a fallback in case the DS didn't catch on.

Regardless of any of our opinions on the matter, it's very hypocritical of Yahoo (Or more specifically, the author of that list) to put the Odyssey anywhere on that list.

In their top 10 best video they clearly stated that having historical merit and such was a legitimate reason to say a console was good. But for their worst list they seem to ignore that.
