Re: Ati vs nVidia
I wouldn't buy nVidia for a while. They've had a lot of problems with cards dying recently. See: http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/39045/135/. If you do go nVidia, be absolutely certain the card was manufactured no earlier than August 2008.

Re: Ati vs nVidia
ATI ftw. Ive found that ATI cores run cooler than nVidia, and usually have better drivers. I am sure many people would disagree, but thats my personal experience. On the other side of the coin, nVidia usually use a single graphics processor, where as ATI use multiple. Not all programs support multiple processors, and it can lead to problems
Consoles Owned: Nintendo SNES, Nintendo GameBoy Color, Nintendo GBA, Sony PSX, PS2, PS3, Sega Master, Microsoft XBox
Re: Ati vs nVidia
ATI, just because I've had better experiences with them then with nVidia cards.

This is your third thread essentially about the same exact thing. Each of those threads stayed relatively healthy. And you've created the new one and it appears with in a handful of posts away from the previous one. Could you not do that anymore?

I haven't bought a Nvidia card since the horrible Geforce Fx5600. And if you dont know or haven't used that card consider yourself lucky.
