I'm still broken-hearted that there will be no season 2 of Claymore...

For whatever reason I had the urge to go back and watch the Rosario+Vampire series again
. Watched it a few years ago right when I was first getting into subbed anime and remembered enjoying it. So far I am two episodes in and am enjoying it. Been a while since I watched a true Romantic Comedy/Harem anime so it's a nice break from my average line up.

Going to finish Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood tonight. What next guys?! I'm wanting something perhaps a little more mature; maybe even a bit less action oriented.
Older. Not wiser.

Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendat
I read the Rosario to Vamprie manga a while ago. A few chapters were really, really good - mostly the comedy ones. Most of it was average and some of it was truly terrible. I guess I kept reading because it promised greatness in the beginning. The dual-personality Moka was cool, and for some reason I thought that would be the series' main focus. I thought it would be about how Tsukune would deal with the fact he was loving a fake personality, or monsters and humans living together, or something mildly interesting like that.
Imagine if Tsukune had died of anemia and Moka had to live with it. That sounds like a good story to me.
Right now the manga is nearing the end, it just keeps getting more and more ridiculous and at this point I'm reading it for kitsch value. Unbelievably silly. I don't think the anime made it very far into the original story though, so you might not see any of the inanity I'm talking about. Season II has absolutely nothing to do with the manga, so I never bothered to watch it.
Actually...I might check it out now that you've reminded me. Maybe it'll be more interesting than the source material.

Hyperdimension Neptunia ended tonight.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's pretty much what you'd expect from a Hyperdimension Neptunia Anime, fanservice, good story and the ... overall interesting aspect of HDN. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, and I kinda wish there would be a second season but I'm okay with the 12 episodes we got, the ending was great and it had a great story.
These are my opinions, I know half of this site loves HDN, half hates it. Overall, worth watching.

Anyone know of any good sports anime?
And something grounded (or close to I guess) in reality please like Slamdunk, not something like American Football DragonBall Z (Eyeshield 21) or One Piece Football (Inazuma Eleven).

Hajime no Ippo is very highly regarded. Boxing. I have not yet watched it myself. Been meaning to give it a go. Season 3 starting soon. Manga has been running for a loooong time.

I've heard it jumps the shark later on. Also I forgot to mention I would prefer a team sport manga cause it makes for a more interesting story and character relations.ZenErik wrote:Hajime no Ippo is very highly regarded. Boxing.
