You need higher sensitivity on your mouse sir. My screen is set to 1600 x 1200 and it only takes about an inch to move my cursor from one side of the screen to the other.General_Norris wrote: First, they are bigger. I don't need to pick up my mouse to move the cursor around, not even while using three screens. It makes normal navigation more confortable and it's important for first person shooters. Having to pick up your mouse during a firefight and not being able to turn around well will get you killed.
Which reminds me that's another point on gaming mice. They'll have higher sensitivity than a normal mouse. so you can turn faster and such. Some let you change sensitivity quickly so you can drop it for sniping, but people just should learn to use super high sensitivity all the time.

There's no question that, given the option, a mouse/kb is always superior for a FPS. You might prefer a controller, but they can't provide you the level of control or speed that a kb/mouse can.

And console first-personers offer aim-assist and generous hitboxes. Unless you play SP sitting on a couch there's no reason to opt for a gamepad

Ha, I'm actually one of those people with an insanely high sensibility, I can complete at least four or five circles in TF2 with my sensibility starting from the middle.

Eh, kb/m vs. gamepad? Who cares? As long as you're not using it as an excuse when playing competitively, play with whatever feels good.
And I do mean WHATEVER.
