i am not sure how u like this show
this is basically what happens in each show

This cranky doctor who is smart.

the show starts with some extremely weird impossible illness that strikes someone. The doctor looks at him and is confused at first. Then something so impossible, something that would happens like ONCE in a lifetime, happens in each episode for HOUSE, and then he figures out the cure.

how can that be exciting, maybe it would be better as a movie, but not a series that in each episode the same thing happens. The ways he discovers the cure is like the most impossible ways ever, so unbelievable

Don't forget that in every episode all the other characters tell him that he is crazy and his crazy ideas will never work, and every episode it works. After a while you'd think they would just trust him. Hell, they should worship him.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

It's called suspension of disbelief :P

I've tried watching House but I just can't seem to stick on Hugh's American accent. I'm so used to him in Blackadder and and A bit of Fry and Laurie, it seems such a shame that he had to change is accent for a role, I think his attitude would work better in an english accent. The way he acts and the things his character says is just so, British. Why spoil that with an American accent? And a poor one at that!

Point for the go team!!!

Damn straight, I loved Jeeves & Wooster. Shit I own a good deal of P.G.Wodehouse's works. It's really funny when people ask me what the hell I'm reading...

"One of my favourite series of books for ages. I even grew up watching the television series."
"But what is it."
"Well you know Jeeves."
"... like as in a butler?"
"yeah, like in a butler. There's a reason Jeeves is synonymous with butler, just as Arthur or Solomon is synonymous with King. It's because of these books."
"Never heard of them."
"yes you have."

Though I have to admit, despite loving Hugh Laurie in his older stuff. And dieing at his and Stephen Fry's cameo in a few "Young One's" episodes I recently watched from my friends collection. I still like Stephen Fry more. Is it sad I frequent his website and listen to his 'podgrams'? I think so.

Well, it's a television show. I don't think it would be very interesting if it were all about run of the mill medical situations. Cranky seems like an inappropriate way to describe a man who is in constant physical pain(he takes pain killers like they're crack). Also, he mis-diagnoses people quite frequently and often it is someone else's suggestion that leads him to a cure. So it makes sense that everyone still argues with him. He's not always right and he'll even admit that sometimes(thought he NEVER apologizes for anything)

It is a sort of formulaic show though. I don't normally like formulaic shows, but I enjoy House and Monk because they at least have interesting characters unlike shows like NCIS, Law and Order and CSI, which all have stereotypes with zero character development that I couldn't care less about. I absolutely HATE those shows. Especially with their holier than thou, high horse, judgmental main characters

Man, I hate NCIS and shit like that. All the acting is so bad.
HAHA that reminds, I was watching one of these criminal science programs, I don't remember what the hell it was, probably CSI or something. They had this shark who had apparantly eating like 3 people and they were pulling like full arms and legs out of this sharks stomach. That's not all, the shark was the most obviously fake shark i've ever seen, you could completely tell that it was made out of like swimsuit material and the sharks head had like literally thousands of teeth just jutting out at all angles. I mean, I know sharks have hundreds of teeth all in like rows that go back so when they lose teeth it doesn't matter but this one just had them stuck out all over the place. It honestly looked like some 10 year olds had made it. The best thing about was it was only 4 foot long and it had apparantly digested like 2 people. Unless they were midgets I just don't think that's possible.

I couldn't stop laughing at how absolutely crap it was. My and my Fiancee thought it was completely hilarious.
