Hello all!
Omerta and Prfsnl_gmr have teamed up with me to put together the Nintendo Wii Defining Games article and we expect to be done with that in a couple of weeks. While I'm in the research and writing mood, I figured I'd also do the Gamecube Defining Games article as well. Anyone interested in helping with research and writing?

Re: Looking for help: Gamecube Defining Games Article
Do you already have a list of defining games to write about, or are you looking for opinions on what to include as well?
Re: Looking for help: Gamecube Defining Games Article
Opinions as well. As experienced as I am with the Gamecube, I think it takes at least two or three points of view to cover what defines a game console across all genres.

Re: Looking for help: Gamecube Defining Games Article
I'm willing to collaborate. I want to make sure that the horror titles the Gamecube brought us are in the foreground, since they are important to its history: Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Remake, Eternal Darkness.
Re: Looking for help: Gamecube Defining Games Article
I'd ask for some references to confirm that you've got some writing experience but I think that'd break Google.
Ack's in. Anyone else?

Re: Looking for help: Gamecube Defining Games Article
Well shoot, I've only been collecting and playing Gamecube for the past year (aside from GBA). But I think Ack did nearly 99% of the research as for games I'd consider. I'd also throw in -
Beach Spikers
Chaos Field
Geist
Gotcha Force
P.N.03
As far as I know, these were all at least North American Gamecube-only exclusives.
But yeah, I could definitely help with a few game write-ups and whatever else may be needed.

Re: Looking for help: Gamecube Defining Games Article
Depending on how I do with the Wii article, I am happy to scrub in for this as well...
Re: Looking for help: Gamecube Defining Games Article
Ack's list is nearly flawless. If I could make a couple amendments for consideration, though:
Baten Kaitos
Tales of Symphonia
WarioWare
Also, there was a trend of breaking with tradition, and turning a lot of established franchises on their ears on the Gamecube. A few of them are already accounted for in Ack's list, but some others to possibly consider:
Battalion Wars
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Kirby Air Ride
StarFox Adventures
Super Mario Sunshine
Wario World

Re: Looking for help: Gamecube Defining Games Article
We've got the list put together pretty solidly. If anyone is interested in writing articles, please let me know. I'd be happy to pick up two authors to help Ack and I.
