I'm not sure if there are many people in my situation but I'll ask anyway.. My wife likes to watch TV most of the night and that is her entertainment.. so I have one of my Xbox 360's hooked up via VGA to a 19" Dell LCD on my computer desk in the living room. The wife likes me out there and not closed up in a "hole" all night. I fine with this but sound has been a issue. I invested in some Turtle Beach Ear Force X2 about 2 years ago and they were great. They were the only wireless gaming headset that would let me also talk and hear people on XBL. They are now getting kinda "assey" and not as reliable as they once were. I have done some basic googleing and did not come up with any other headsets that will do the same as my X2's other than the newer X3's and X4's. The X3's caught my eye since I can get them new for $100 at a local shop but I don't want to miss out on maybe some newer technology. I'll list what kind of options I see with the X3's that catch my attention.
Hear XBOX Live Chat plus stereo game sound - Like my X2's
Dynamic Talkback lets you hear chat even when the game gets louder - This is cool since this was a HUGE problem with the X2's
Separate controls for game and chat volumes - Another feature I wish my X2's had

If anyone has experience with the X3's or any other ones please let me know how you like or dislike them..

Re: Wirless headphoes for the Xbox 360
Sounds like no one is in the same situation as me.. well I ended up picking up the Turtle Beach X3's for $99 at Best Buy. I had a gift card for $30 so it wasent as bad as I thought. So far they are exactly what I wanted. They fixed all the flaws that I hated about the X2 and made them more comfortable. I played 5 hours or so of GOW2 last night with them and my ears were not hurting at all.
The microphone is very sensitive and I did not have to talk loud and my friends could hear me clearly. I did notice the chat volume get louder when the game sound/music was louder.. that was awesome.
All in all I recommend these for anybody looking for wireless headphones that will work with Xbox Live.
