Yeah, but then you come home and she's gotten into them. Her addiction becomes stronger over time, until eventually she's given up going out for "just one more run" at getting into some other anime girl's pants. She barely eats. She rarely sleeps. She refuses to spend time with you.

Until it happens.

You awaken to find a note, with a single solitary sentence: "Have gone to be with my true love."

Six months later, you see a video posted on YouTube. Your wife has gotten married in the Philippines...to a computer.

I remember a kmart by me closing down in 2000. Everything in the store was cheap. Picked up a copy of "Toy Commander" for 20ish dollars. They had an entire case of Saturn games that they were pretty much giving away. Can't say I remember any game in particular(didn't own a Saturn at the time) but if you had the money, you could of started quite a large collection with brand new games.

Man, I wish someone would invent a time machine already

Not sure if a regret, since I also have a nice Saturn collection now, but...

Buying a new Genesis instead of a new Saturn (was the same exact price at the time, $40).

Instead, I have an appreciation of the Sega CD that I would not have otherwise (bought a cheap used one to go with my Genny), and I didn't have access to many Saturn games at the time, but I do think my mind would have been blown by what I could play.

But I guess I'm just 16-bit at heart, by choice or circumstance.

Also...

Passing on a COMPLETE and MINT copy of The Legend of ZELDA (Gold Cart). It was only like $3 at a Pawn shop, but I was feeling very poor at the time, and I already had my well played loose cart.

Abusing my Final Fantasy maps so much (actually not a regret, since I'd probably do it again if I sentenced to another round of my youth in the 90s)
...just another lost soul...

Picked up and then put back down what appeared either to be a Competition cartridge or a pre-release copy of NBA Jam for the Sega Genesis at a local store. It would have cost me five dollars and I don't even remember what else I purchased, but I never saw that again. Would have been cool to have owned something like that (that same store had a Star Fox competition cart for like $150 a few months later).

It's that addicting?

Cause you know wow is designed to be a time sink. You have to spend 3-4 hours a day doing the same thing over and over, in order to be able to do what you really wanted to be doing (PvP in my case, Dungeon Raiding for most people)
