This will be the second time a Sonic game gets me to buy a Nintendo console

(first was the gamecube for SA2).

Anyway the game looks amazing. I hope the 3DS version is a straight port so I can enjoy this game as soon as it comes out.

I just wish Sega would get rid of the shitty voice acting (Ryan Drummond will always be Sonic's voice for me) and the stupid "comedy" sketches.

Am I really alive? I can't believe how good that one looks. I'm more interested in it than Mario 3D Land.

Yes you are alive/not dreaming. This is real. Sonic is about to star in what seems to be one of the 3D platformers ever made.

The prince is back baby (read this with a Bender voice please)

Super Mario 3D World? I forgot that was coming out.....seriously

Finally watched some videos to see what this Nintendoland thing is...

I must have a Wii-U :|

Looks like I might be picking up the WW version and buying Nintendoland secondhand. Kinda want to just get the Nintendoland version, but the special edition tablet is pretty rad and I know Kit would like to play WW in HD.

Sonic Lost Worlds is looking really neat, I'm still getting serious Mario Galaxy vibes from it, and not from the weird cylinder thing it seems to be doing.

That, WWHD, I'm sure 3D World will be a fun game, yeah. I really should pick up a Wii U.

If by Super Mario Galaxy vibes you been breath taking 3D platformer that is going to take the genre to new heights and places, then yes I agree.

The sad thing is that the first 3D Sonic attempt (Sonic Xtreme) kind of wanted to go down this route but it wasn't given the chance. Now, almost 20 years later, we are finally getting what seems to be a true adaption of classic Mega Drive Sonic gameplay into 3D. I honestly can't wait for it, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the 3DS version does the game justice.

Not to be a negative nancy but I didn't think that level/trailer looked impressive. Sonic Lost World looks like it'll be worth a buy, but I'm not exactly expecting it to be mind blowing much less the best 3D platformer.

I'll be surprised if it's better than Generations, or 3D World (bringing back dat Mario vs Sonic war 8) )

One of things that makes the cylinder approach a good idea is this. With most 3D sonic games, your worst enemy was walls to stop you. If it is a giant cylinder you can move more freely with little impediment. Only gripe that may exist is, if those cylinders have holes you can't see and, when moving left or right will fall into the blind spot and create instant death.

We've talked about how awesome the tingle bottles with Miiverse is. I had the sad realization today that at some point in the future you wont be able to do the whole tingle bottle thing. Just like the Wii online features were shut down, one day Wii U online features will be shut down. Will the game be enjoyable without it? Of course. People have already loved this game for the GCN without it. But it does add something fun to the game, and it's sad to know that I might replay it in 10-20 years without it. Or that some one from a new generation of gamers wont get to experience it. But who knows, maybe Miiverse will stay around for as long as Nintendo does (but possibly evolve) and they'll make it so WW HD always works with Miiverse (by patching software or whatever).

I hope that the Miiverse will stay around and evolve. It is a definite possibility. This is what Nintendo wanted with the WiiU and it is really really working in ways they didn't even realize. Utilizing the draw function to such a huge degree was a big reason to implement the Art Academy Sketch pad into it. I hope that they continue to support the systems features for some time. If people still continue to use it as strongly as they do, I am sure it will stay around for as long as possible.
