What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It will be worth seeing though to see a hundred Metallica fans totally lying to themselves that paying $20+ to see a 3D Metallica movie was a good idea. That or even the fact a Metallica movie was a good idea.

Maybe a feature length documentary could work, depending on what it was focusing on.

This... thing though... lol.

Holy crap! You haven't watched their doc? It is hilarious.

It shows the band getting group therapy, shows how "not metal" they are, and has those "I don't know if I can take it any more" moments.

Yeah, I've seen most of that, pretty much feel the same way. I don't think it was released theatrically though. It's not their only doc either, iirc there's that one from the 90s about the making of the black album.

Some Kind of Monster was released theatrically. I don't know how widely.

I guess what I meant is that I wouldn't mind seeing a really comprehensive and well put together feature-length doc about the really early years of the band. Like pre-Kill 'Em All stuff.

I was sitting in a theater with my girlfriend when the trailer for this came on. About midway through the trailer, she turned and just stared at me. Once it was finished, she said, "I blame you for this."

I spent the rest of the trailers having to protest that I hadn't liked anything they had done for over 20 years. She still blames me for it.

Good stuff. I know that same look.

I saw Metallica back in 199*cough cough*. They put on a fun stadium/stage show that was full of fake accidents, explosions. and shittily performed music. The crowd sucked. It was like every lynyrd skynyrd fan just wore black and had an earring.
