What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
Is Resistance 3 any good? My GS had it for 50% off.

R2 has some of the best co-op multiplayer in any FPS ever. R3 has one of the best single player campaigns I've seen.oxymoron wrote:I had to ask as I wan't a fan of the first.dsheinem wrote:Yes. It was my GOTY the year it came out.oxymoron wrote:Is Resistance 3 any good? My GS had it for 50%.

Alright. I'll give it a shot. Have you played co-op on the PlayStation 3D Display? I heard that when you have the glasses on you can only see your screen. I'd be nice to 1v1 someone on that.dsheinem wrote: R2 has some of the best co-op multiplayer in any FPS ever. R3 has one of the best single player campaigns I've seen.

After finishing GTA5 I'm heading back to R3 soon. Yes it has a neat campaign, definitely worth playing.

I have finished the R3 story mode. Well that was disappointing. Missed opportunities on narrative and immersion, and no fights against the Goliath unit. Also, as a trilogy finale the ending was very standard stuff. But on the plus side the arsenal was a lot of fun.
Maybe they were planning to make a fourth Resistance? But the way the plot concluded it seems there's little room for a sequel.

Okay so I finished Killzone 2, I wont say much other than I really enjoyed it (I will write in more detail in the Games Beaten thread).
I decided that I wanted the back story enough to play through the first again, this time I took my time and set up the controller to the same scheme I had in the second game, using L1 to look down the sights, rather than R3, which I hate.
I just finished the second Chapter and I must say I am enjoying it much more now than I ever did when it first came out. The controls made a big difference, but enjoying the world from playing 2 has had a big impact on my enjoyment.
Still massive flaws in the game like massive slow down, the down the sights is just zooming the port on screen, polygon popping, floaty controls, etc.
I think the thing that is most frustrating is how many bullets each Hig needs to die. They scaled it back in the second, which I am glad about.
But actually enjoying it this time around.

It's hard going back to older fps's. I tried with this one, but it just didn't do. I personally find the physics incredibly lacking. The interface is also a pain to look at.

I always thought that game sucked. No idea how or why it was at one point considered part of the Deus Ex universe too.
