Yeah Amazon continues to keep old Wii U Price point. They have the Zelda Bundle at $369... ridiculous.

That's because Amazon doesn't sell 3DS or Wii U. They only fulfill orders from other sellers.

Oh wow, glad to see the Zelda bundle on amazon at least. I had a feeling it'd end up there despite being a GS exclusive or whatever?

Guess I'll keep my eyes out for them to drop the price though. Hoping I can just get one through them so I can use the credit option and pay it off, lol.

The system bundle isn't a GS exclusive only the game with the Ganon figure is.

But I'm pretty bummed about the digital only copy thing... wasn't that the final word on it? Almost tempted to just get a normal Wii U and buy a physical copy of Wind Waker HD instead, lol.

I would say then buy the bundle and a copy and sell the key that comes with the game. You will pay $300 regardless.

Out of the 5 or 6 times I've turned it on to play since I bought it the other day, only twice have I bothered turning on the tv as well. I've been playing primarily with the gamepad.

I have no reason to, its not like I share the tv with anyone. Its just convenient I guess.

I'm genuinely surprised by this.

Well don't get too used to it, not all games support off-TV play (or whatever they call it).

IIRC, the manual said 3-5 hours. I started yesterday with a fully charged and definitely got 4-5 hours out of it before the battery light started blinking (which doesn't mean the battery was dead, just that I should charge it soon). I have the screen brightness on 3 or 4 (out of 5) and that has a lot to do with it.

When I first read the 3-5 battery life thing, I was kinda upset because that doesn't seem very long. But really, it's FINE. Unless you're planning to play more than 5 hours straight all the time, then you wont have a problem. Take a break every once in a while and drop the gamepad in the charging cradle. That's what I've been doing. Even when the battery is low while you're playing, you can plug it in and charge while you're playing.

The Wii U GamePad is the centerpiece of Nintendo's touch-enabled console, but only as long as its battery holds out. Soon Japanese owners will be able to extend the GamePad's shortlived three-to-five hour battery with an official battery pack (via Ars Technica).

The optional pack provides five to eight hours of life away from the charging cradle, Nintendo claims. It fits in flush with the pad, so there's no extra bulk, but we wouldn't be surprised if it adds some mass to the surprisingly light GamePad.

The pack retails for 3,000 yen, or about $30 or £20, and will start shipping on July 25. We asked Nintendo of America if it has any plans to bring the juiced up batteries and some of the other new accessories (like an official Wii Remote charging dock, finally) overseas, but it had nothing to announce.

I don't have a problem with the 3-5 hour life. I've been U binging since I just got the console on the 20th, and I haven't had a problem with it. Still, for only $30, if Nintendo releases a 5-8 hour battery here for only $30 I would definitely get it. One, who wouldn't want longer battery life, and two, I'd have a spare battery for when one eventually dies.
