It's pretty quiet. You can hear the disc drive when loading a disc, but it's pretty quite. It's not like the Dreamcast. You can hear the fan spin up at times, but again, it's pretty quiet.

Nope, no Nintendoland. Zelda only.

Plus the digital version of the Hyrule Historia book.
Yeah, no Nintendo Land with the WW bundle. What's more, it's $60 on the eShop, but you can get it for only $30 on Amazon right now. It's probably the one game I wouldn't mind getting a digital version of, but $60 is just too much.

The Hyrule Historia book is cool. I would have never bought the physical book, and while I would enjoy it more if it was a physical book version versus a digital one, at least I get to look at it. It is kinda neat.

(can't wait to get the faster sail)
You are able to get at the point that are at right now.

It is available....
At the auction house at windfall island at night. If it doens't show up right away, just leave and re-enter until it pops up..you should have 300 ruppees MAX (I got mine for 220, but I have seen people pay up to 275.)
the faster sail does make things freakishly easy for travel.

Thanks for the tip!
I've only gone to the auction once, and over paid for a treasure map. I'll have to go back and get the sail!

I finished the first dungeon last night.

Yup, still definitely my favorite Zelda. It's even better now though.

It is funny to think about, but looking back, this game received the most flak out of every zelda game (excluding the CD-i stuff). People ranted and raved about the art style and design choices. Looking back, this game stands the test of time and has aged unbelievably well. It really is one of the best and is third on my all time favorite behind majora's mask and link's awakening.

Have any of you guys played Wonderful 101 enough to make a recommendation yay/nay yet?

I have it and have plunked down about 4 hours into the game (a bit distracted now that Wind Waker came out) and it is definitely worth it. Let's break it down.

Positives

Longevity - There is a crap ton of stuff to do, collect and craft. There are hidden members of the Wonderful 100 that you can find throughout the game. Each member can be used in replace of the standard "Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Yellow, White and Black," characters and they all have unique stats and can be leveled up. You can also craft beneficial items that you can use by collecting ingredients in the game AAAANNNNDDDD you have to work to get those amazing Pure Platinum rankings AAAANNNNDD there is the challenge missions which can be 5 player multiplayer. Talk about a lot of content.

Combat System - The combat system is a blast. Dodging, reflecting attacks, counterattacking and juggling are all such thrilling experiences. I could relate it to games like Bayonetta and Devil May Cry, but in all honesty, it is a lot more fun.

Visuals - There is a lot to see. The environments are greatly designed and the characters look amazing. Graphically, the game is amazing and has a great throwback to the super sentai and power rangers era.

Negatives

Learning curve - There is a steep learning curve. Each enemy has a series of strategies that you can implement against them, but you have to figure that out yourself. You have no help. For instance, Wonder Blue's sword can reflect blue laser beams. You don't know that unless you try it, but...when attacked, your first instinct is to dodge or block. You have to do NOTHING to reflect it with the sword. You will come across this a lot throughout the game and encourages a lot of experimenting. You will not be perfect at this game from the get go.

Camera - Oh man does the camera suck. It zooms in and out for almost no reasons and will fight you every inch of the way. Want to explore the area around you after clearing it of enemies? The camera will constantly drift towards the next area and you have to fight tooth and nail to make it do what you want it to do.

Do I recommend this game? Most definitely. It is very challenging and encourages you to experiment. You will be thrust in situations where you won't know what you are supposed to do and you have to figure it out. It can be frustrating, but after understanding what to do, it becomes increasingly easier further on.

I've found that almost all noise I can hear from the Wii U is the disc drive, or vibrations caused by the disc drive. The fans is extremely quiet, from my couch you can hear it if there are no other noises.

And everyone complained about that entire batch of games on GameCube at the time, even Metroid Prime. I knew people who claimed it was dog shit along with all these other "kiddy interpretations" like Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Wind Waker, and Mario Kart Double Dash. I have to admit, it's slightly annoying hearing people praise these games so much now, who at the time, wouldn't give them a second thought. Don't think anyone here is doing that, just a game-community-in-general thing.
