I always think it would be more interesting, and entertaining to see him talk about games that he likes, especially now.

He did a few videos entitled "Sonic the Hedgehog memories" or "Game X Memories" where he just waxes on about playing those games back in the day. He also did a 2 or 3 part Castlevania retrospective that was also a lot like what you're talking about, so there's a few vids you might like that are like that.

I'd also mention his Swordquest video as more of a fond reminiscence than an actual review.

At his best, he seems more amused at the games than angry at them. I really like his observational quips in the "Double Vision" videos, like "Who would call Dracula my man?"
Re: AVGN: The Movie
An interesting update from the man himself if anyone is interested.

He talks about the status of the movie and to a lesser extent what's going on in his life right now (him and his wife had a kid). It's all really down to earth and a cool watch. He also talks about how this movie was basically an idea from 2006/7 and he can't wait to move on to other projects and is a different person now, but he's gotta finish this first.

I always liked and respected James - he was a real influence for me as far as video games go. Not only that, but he seems like a very down-to-earth and decent person who is extremely passionate about film and gaming, someone that a lot of people should look up to for reasons beyond AVGN.

Well, I guess no other Houston people care. Bought my ticket before it sells out, which it is already in most of the announced showings. *shrug*

I bought my ticket a couple days ago! I can't wait to see it. I've been an AVGN fan for years.
