Maybe he's still in college and thought she was still his girlfriend. That would be a reason to frown for sure.prfsnl_gmr wrote:FTFYpierrot wrote:- My college girlfriend is engaged.
She is probably very happy right now, and you should be happy for her. (My college girlfriends are all having children right now...Of course, their college boyfriend also has a few of his own; so, it works out.)

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Thats like when I thought I was dating a girl and then she changed her facebook status and stopped talking to me.Stark wrote:Maybe he's still in college and thought she was still his girlfriend. Yeah, I know I should be happy for her. I also went to school with the guy she's engaged to, though. I'm fairly certain he's a pretty good guy; I really don't have anything against him. They should be happy together.
I'd always hoped she would find someone who made her really happy (happier than she was with me) I just, apparently, didn't want it to be someone I knew. I burned her pretty badly, so I'm well aware I have little right to be be sad, and no right to rain on her parade. It's kind of miraculous she'll even still talk to me, really. I just don't like feeling left in the dust.

I might be missing something here, but how can you feel left in the dust in a case where you left her, in a specific case where it sounds like you burned her?

I meant in terms of typical life-event progression, but I suppose that's fair.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I might be missing something here, but how can you feel left in the dust in a case where you left her, in a specific case where it sounds like you burned her?

Frown: I've been singing it wrong since day one.
Apparently it isn't "Froggy went to a court with an alibi, uh-huh".
My Dad is going to get it.

I don't have any good reasoning, as people can counter any point I make about it, but I'm just flat out tired of school, and thinking about all the cash I'll be spending on college drives me nuts. I'll also be 18 as of next week, and I see it as pathetic that I really am not prepared to care for myself and be out of the house by now. I know I'm not done with high school, but if my Grandpa could make it through life with less than an eighth grade education, then I can make it through without a college education.oxymoron wrote:Why?Forlorn Drifter wrote:I'm really starting to think that I don't even want to go to college. I also know that I couldn't really support a family on any kind of pay I could get without a degree, but I'm not foreseeing a family being in the picture any time soon. Or at all for that matter.
