I forgot until today, but I've had an account here for a bit over a year now. I thought earlier today to join the forums here, as I read the site quite often, but apparently I thought it was a good idea a year ago as well. Anyway, I'm 18, and I've always liked retro games. I guess I have kind of a sway towards Sega stuff, as I'm mainly into 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast, and Nintendo GameCube for the most part.
I own: Wii, GameCube, N64, SNES, NES, 3DS, Genesis, 32X, Sega CD, Master System (via Power Base Converter), Saturn, DreamCast, Game Gear, PSP, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, XBOX 360, Atari 2600, Magnavox Odyssey 3000 (though it's just a standard Pong-type console), also I have one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tiger LCD games in the backseat of my car for what that's worth.
But I'm really into the kind of quirky stuff from older eras, like the Sega CD FMV games, or sports games from the PS1/Saturn era (in fact, I do videos mainly on Old Sports Games on my YouTube channel if you're interested at looking at them.)

Don't replace it, fix it! It probably just needs a good cleaning. Try posting a thread in the Tech Help section if you need any help.
Ummm ok, im not really good with electronics though. Every time i see a green circuit board with that stuff on it i get nervous that i'll ruin something. but i'll give it a try

Protip: If it's not working now, you're probably not gonna make it worse.

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

I think you'll fit in very nicely here based on literally everything here.

I love any and all FMV games no matter how bad they are. There is just something about them that is frightfully entertaining. Is it the cheeseball acting? The unplayable mechanics? Whatever the case may be, you are welcome!
Also, just noticed your sports of the day 7/5/13 video. I love the American version of this game, World Series Baseball '98. One of the few sports games that I completed a full season on. It was a blast!
So... what is your favorite classic sports game? Favorite FMV game?

Hello all!
27/M, long time lurker, first time poster. After finally beating Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine this evening, some 16-odd years after I first played it, I felt inspired to finally join the conversation.
I've had, at various times over the years: Atari 2600, NES, Genesis + 32X, Nomad, Game Gear, Game Boy, PS1, N64, PS2, Wii, and PS3. I'm also a bit of a PC gamer as well, since from back when Doom II came on five 3.5" floppies. Currently, I have my trusty childhood toaster NES (sadly neglected in a closet due to lack of CRT/space for one), the PS2, the Wii, and the PS3; I also have a new i5/HD7870 rig sitting in the other room waiting to be built for all my PC gaming/emulation needs.
I'm open to pretty much any type of video game you could imagine, except for MMORPGs and strategy (although I have been known to lose an occasional game of Risk). My current gaming pursuits include: getting better at fighters, trying to 1cc various shmups, slowly making my way through Persona 3/4 and Deus Ex: HR, and whittling down my backlog while simultaneously adding to it.
I'm also a musician—played guitar/bass in bands and on my own for over a decade, and I make electronic music (see links in signature if you're interested). Some other things that pique my interest: anime, horror movies, the Duke Blue Devils, fruity liquor drinks, and slow-cooked pork butt.
Well, that's enough rambling from me. Looking forward to participating!

Hey, new here, from Edmonton Alberta, I resell games locally to earn a living after a tablesaw accident rendered my left hand essentially useless. Looking forward to making some deals with some people in the near future.

Hey, you may be surprised to know you won't be the first one-handed gamer on the forum!
