Also, "Lady Stalker" is one of the sketchiest video game titles of all time...(It looks like a pretty sweet game, however.)

And yeah, Lady Stalker is certainly one of those titles that would have been changed during localization (it's the only one that stayed in Japan).

Dragon Wars is something of a Bard's Tale spin-off. Uses the same engine and you can import your Bard's Tale characters into the game.

I don't know about the other games, but Bard's Tale II allows you to import characters from Ultima III and Wizardry.

Interplay didn't have the rights to The Bard's Tale at the time, so they simply started what was intended to be a new trilogy. Too bad it didn't happen. I've never actually come anywhere near completing BT I, II, or II despite owning all of them. I finished DW twice though.

Was playing Gauntlet I and II today and did some further research into the series. There is some weird stuff going on here.

In 1990 a Lynx exclusive was released called Gauntlet: The Third Encounter. Apparently this wasn't intended to be a Gauntlet game originally. And while it's technically the third Gauntlet game it's not the third game (canonically) - Gauntlet III was released a year later.

Oh, and Gauntlet IV on Genesis is actually a remake of the first game. It's simply called Gauntlet in Japan.

There were also some decent clones of the first two titles released on Tandy Color. They are called Gantelet and Gantelet II.
