Smite

So I just gave this little game a try earlier today. Never really gotten in to MOBA's before. The only one I've tried before this was League of Legends, and to be honest the very harsh community and steep learning curve scared me away from the entire sub genre for a while.

But then some guy on Youtube that I watch regularly started uploading a few Smite vids, and it honestly looked so fun that I felt I had to give it a chance. So far I've only played four games, but it's been a blast. The controls and mechanics have so far been very easy to grasp, playing just like an action game. But there's also plenty of deep RPG stat management and such that I can tell I've barely scratched the surface of the game.


So anyone else play this game, or gave it a try? And for those who haven't yet but think they're interested, well, it's free.

I play now and then (Anubis ftw). It is a great game. Probably one of the smaller communities when it comes to successful mobas though. It's the only moba I have been able to get into too. I'd be happy to play sometime.

I'd be willing to set up a match with you (Or anyone else from the forums for that matter) sometime, but exactly when I play is a bit random depending on my work/sleep schedule.

Also, Anubis and Zeus are so far my two best characters. I've also shown a bit of success with Hades.

So I just reached the level cap recently (Though levels in this game are basically meaningless) and remembered this thread. So anyone wanna add me as a friend and play sometime if the opportunity arises? My name on there is Eckoshy.

So far I seem to do best with a few mages (Ao Kuang, Chronos, Anubis), some assassin types (Fenrir and Freya mostly) and just one tank, Ares.


Also I really like the new character Thanatos. Still practicing with him and doing horribly, even though he doesn't seem that complicated.
