The few reviews I saw on the 3DS version said it was pretty mediocre.

Tonight is the night the Wind Waker HD reviews come in.

Eurogamer - 10/10

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013- ... -hd-review

IGN - 9.8/10

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/17/ ... -hd-review

Gamespot - 8.0/10

I'm sure more will pop up soon. Looks like it's one of the best HD remakes period. It's my favorite Zelda game, and so that makes me really quite happy.

WW HD looks really good. Like, it's probably the Wii U's best game right now. Definitely gonna buy.

I've read some of those reviews. It seems WindWaker is going on my skip list. They've just made the game prettier and made it a little less tedious. I don't think it's worth the upgrade to the new version if you still have a GC copy.

I'm willing to debate the prettier part.

As someone who has skipped over a lot of HD collections I can certainly understand that mindset. I'm personally extremely excited to get this since I've never played the original and it's something I've always meant to play but nevervhof around to. The HD version was announced at just the right time for me. >=]

Does any one find those HD bumps worth RE-playing the game just for the graphics upgrade? I know some poeple would play a game 3-4 times due to the game's fun gameplay/replay value but just for the HD remake, is it worth it?

I'd replay a game if it had huge graphics update like psx tomb raider -> ps3 tomb raider.

And TR is a bit different too, because the controls and camera were updated as well, which is awesome.

Only collection I've bought solely for the purpose of replaying a better looking version would be the MGS HD collection. I think a lot of it depends on how big a fan you are and if you really want it or not.

Tomb Raider is a total reboot of the series isn't it? That isn't even comparable.
