I hate going to the doctor or hospital. The smells, the cold, the time it takes away from me not being productive. Argh! Even if I'm vomiting blood, I'll try to find an excuse not to go.
However, I love needles/shots. Since I don't do drugs, I settle on donating blood every chance I get. I know it's weird, but I like the feeling I get, and it goes towards a good cause.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
I'm cool with family doctors (story of my life this year) and specialists, but yeah big difference between places like that and an actual hospital. Never a fan.
After all this time I finally found out I've still had asthma since forever (did have an inhaler when I was 5 and lived in Tennessee). I just hope 20 years later no damage has been done, but that's just me looking too much into it...
I got two inhalers now and Singulair to take on top of Zyrtec for allergies, which I guess I'm very allergic to dust, mite, mold, and horses (wtf?). Go figure that I've always been more of an indoor person, and that's my environmental weakness. lol
Started all this over the weekend and have been pretty out of it adjusting I'm guessing, but yeah hope to see how this helps. My breathing was at 71% and had a 28% increase with the medicine when I got tested, and that's just really crazy to think about, a quarter of an improvement.
It all adds up though and I'm thinking maybe this whole time I confused this with neck pain, who knows. But I've gotten blood tests done that come back all good off and on among other things, my diet is amazing thesedays, I'm working out again, finding ways to handle stress really well lately, and no matter what I do I'm just easily winded. Definitely hope this improves things after awhile and I'll stick with it. I'm just worried how this will be next year and beyond when our insurance is forced into a health savings plan and yeah... but I'll worry about it then.

Never liked doctors much. Always hated going to the doctor. I don't ignore health problems though - always better to suck it up and see a doctor as opposed until waiting until shit really hits the fan and you're forced to go to the ER or whatnot.
Speaking of such matters, I tried to make a January dentist appointment last night and was told I couldn't book one that far in advance. Wut.

So a supervisor pulled me aside tonight to "have a talk". The company is going through a huge shift and they're firing everyone who is under quota and not upper-tier. More people were let go again today, and it's getting pretty scary.
I was told that nobody on my team wants to see me go, and they're doing everything they can to keep me here. All this training is being used as an excuse for my low quota and a way to help me improve it overall. Too bad my supervisor wasn't he one to tell me all this. I can't help but think that I would be in a better place if I had a supervisor that cared a bit more. I only get performance "reviews" when he's forced to give me one.

You build up a tolerance. At least I have.BoringSupreez wrote: You say that like a pint isn't very much. I couldn't stand for 15 minutes after the last time I gave that much.
I've been giving 4 pints a year since 1997.

I hate needles and giving blood. Last time I did before my surgery, it made me very light headed and sweat.

Yes, I think you should tell them, especially if it's becoming an issue with your grade. You're doing a creative job but have a medical issue which prevents you from hitting a mark some folks consider important. To prevent this, it would be best to ask others for insight and also make the instuctors aware of the problem.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I've gotten various comments about how the colors of some of my web designs and other projects "don't match" or "go together" or some other nonsense. Maybe I should tell my instructors I'm colorblind upfront. Or ask someone to look things over. I received a really snarky comment from a TA that pissed me off.
And the next time you get a snarky comment from that TA, stand up and loudly announce to the class that you are colorblind and therefore cannot see the problem but would appreciate it if the TA didn't harass and insult you. Openly criticize the TA for failing to work with you concerning your issue(the word disability is a bit loaded, but if you want to use it, it will add extra punch) and demand an apology for his prejudice. That'll shut him up.
