Favorite video game artists
I guess I should specify visual art. I've been digging Ayami Kojima's art lately(Ayami Kojima+Koji Igarashi+Michiru Yamane=Castlevania holy trinity). So I thought I'd throw this topic up. I could name a few others whose art I love, but I'll let you guys post your faves since I've mentioned one already

I guess I never really pay attention to that stuff the way I do with the music...
Whoever does the character designs for the Atlus games. One of the many things that pushed me away from anime years ago was how every character was a copy-paste job from every other character, and it got to the point where everyone was just randomly picking hair and eye colors for a face template and shouting "DONE!"
But the Atlas games, (and not just their RPGs. Go try Maken X.), always have completely unique faces that are really memorable.

Ken Sugimori is my favorite VG artist, I love all his character designs for the first 151 Pokemon, i always thought his card illustrations were better than all the other artist's

While I don't really care for his work all that much, I have respect for Tetsuya Nomura's affinity for zippers (and other gaudy accessories).
Imagine if real people dressed like that. Every female you knew would wear men's size 15 steel toe boots. And every guy you knew would be as hot as every girl you knew.

Udon has done some incredible work. Loved their art in the Darkstalkers comics.
My favs, aside from Udon, include:
Akihiko Yoshida - Character designer of Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story.
Kazuma Kaneko - Devil May Cry 3, Zone of the Enders 2, Super Robot Wars Alpha 3, and practically every MegaTen game ever.
Shigenori Soejima - Soul Hackers, Persona 2, 3, 4
