Random Gaming Thoughts
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I just give up on assasins creed... i tried again today and after only 30 minutes i was really bored by the game. I'll just jump into revelations to see if everything is better.

Revelations is the worst of the AC line-up imo.Damm64 wrote:I just give up on assasins creed... i tried again today and after only 30 minutes i was really bored by the game. I'll just jump into revelations to see if everything is better.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Quick Game Question. Got some money for my birthday and was thinking about picking up Arma II so I could play DayZ. I am into those types of games and was wondering... is it worth getting, or should I just wait and invest in DayZ Standalone. They have other mods for the game like Tajikstan Life, which look like a blast as well... oh decisions decisions!

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I was always confused/irritated by the fact that there were so many non-track & field events in Konami's track & field games.
Turns out that in Japan they're more generalized Olympic themed games.

Which games do you speak of? I know that our NES Track & Field is just the Famicom port of Track & Field + Hyper Olympic in one cartridge. T&F II was a bit more faithful to the source material.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I was always confused/irritated by the fact that there were so many non-track & field events in Konami's track & field games.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Ah, my observations aren't based so much on the older games (which I haven't played much of) but the newer (5th gen and up) ones.
I was always confused as to why a track & field game would have weightlifting, swimming, archery, etc in it.... but like I said, in Japan they're simply marketed as "Olympic games".
I have to wonder why they changed the titles in the US localizations. Maybe they thought American consumers would stop buying the games once the Olympics were over and done with.....

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Senran Kagura Burst looks like a really fun beat-em-up, but the creepy fanservice bothers me too much. I played Tsukihime and Katawa Shoujo, so why would I be reluctant with Senran Kaura?

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
The original arcade game was just track and field stuff. I guess since they'd already renamed it that here they just kept going in order to build off recognition.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Ah, my observations aren't based so much on the older games (which I haven't played much of) but the newer (5th gen and up) ones.

Doubt I've played an Olympics themed game since the days of EPYX and the Atari 2600.BoneSnapDeez wrote: Turns out that in Japan they're more generalized Olympic themed games.

Sometimes I wanna drop like $200 all at once and buy all the retro sports games I'll ever need.
