What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I saw Men in Black 3 recently. I enjoyed it, but as with most things involving time travel I think the story got a little bit confusing and convoluted. I'd say I probably enjoyed the first half of the movie more than the second half, but it was decent overall. I liked the joke about black guys stealing cars. Not the most high brow comedy, but still funny.

Planning on watching Looper at some point, and I started watching Superman vs The Elite but didn't get to finish.

I'll go grammar-teacher for a mo' here, I guess: "I could care less," denotes having the ability to care less than one already does—ie, that person cares to some degree. "I couldn't care less," denotes caring so little that it would be impossible for that person to care any less than he already does.

Certainly grating for me when I hear it, but not as bad as people misusing "less" and "fewer"; or worse, when people use "anxious" to mean "eager." It's making my skin crawl just thinking about it.

Carry on.

In other words, not a single fuck was given about grammar on this, or any other day. Yes.

FTFY ;)

I hate the misuse of "anxious" as well.

"I could care less" and "I could care more" are perfectly acceptable.

I've never heard anyone say, "I could care more," when trying to say he doesn't care, but let's consider a speaker's level of caring on a scale from zero to one: "zero" being a complete lack of emotional investment, and "one" being the utmost emotional investment. "I couldn't care less," could only be represented by zero on that scale. On the other hand, "I could care less," could be anything greater than zero, or even equal to one. If we were to place, "I could care more," on the same scale, it could be represented by anything from zero to one.

Edit: Grammar and math, in a thread about movies? I can just imagine the groans coming from onlookers and regulars of the thread. I'll show myself the door.
