Have to wait and see what the sales figures are like for the States, since it was really aimed at Westerners, despite being so 'Japanese'.
It's a niche game on a console many are claiming to be dead before it begun. Are we surprised?
It's unfortunate of course, but not really a surprise. I know I'm buying it though!

Is there multiplayer on this game?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Yeah. It is local only.

The eshop demo includes a few multiplayer stages, they are pretty fun, they are co-op in design, but feel very competitive due to the scoring system, feels pretty chaotic .

So I went to Gamestop to pick it up today and they only ordered a single copy. I was curious and called some of the other local gamestops to see what they had in stock. 3 of the 4 only ordered 1 and the 4th said they didn't even order a copy. Seems like the sales may not go so well. Ahhh well, at least I got mine.

It is disappointing that this game came out so close to GTA V. It had been my most wanted Wii U game since launch, and was going to be a guaranteed day 1 purchase, but it never came out when they said it would. Over time, my excitement faded for it, but was rekindled a little bit when the demo came out. But now, it faces such a packed time of the year for games that I dont know when I would be able to get around to it. The same thing goes for Rayman Legends, which was also going to be a day 1 purchase for me, but now has become a question of if I will even pick it up.

After putting in a lot of time with the game, I can safely say that this is exactly what the WiiU needs. It is incredibly challenging and in depth. Initially, with my experiences with the demo, the game seems overwhelming. Even when playing the full retail game, your initial encounters with various enemies will leave you scratching your head on the best offense against them.

When you start to understand how things work, how the enemies interact with you, you get into a groove that can only be described only as FUN! There is a rhythm that is very fulfilling, blocking, dodging, counterattacking a multitude of attacks are some of the most exciting moments in this game.

Yes, there are problems, but they are minor. The camera sucks, but you can zoom in and out, fighting with the standard camera. Yes, the game does not tell you what you need to do all the time, but you have to pay attention and learn; that is part of the challenge. I will play this game again after completing it. Knowing what I know, playing through with the upgrades and heroes found throughout the game and trying to score the best rankings on the levels is something I do not normally want to do, but with this... there is something about it that just makes you want to explore.

I finished this game over the weekend and wow. Just wow. Such a fun, intense, and humorous thrill ride all the way through. The game is pretty long as well and PACKED with content. Easily Platinum's biggest and (dare I say?) best title yet.

The game always throws some new gameplay your way and there's plenty of old school styled segments mixed in there as well.

I don't think I've played a game that has completely exceeded my expectations like this in years. All hail Mr. Kamiya and his team!

Mine shipped from Amazon this morning. I can't tell what it is about this game that has made me want it so much but it's been on my radar for awhile.

I just bought a Wii U, so I have a few other games to play first. I'll pick this up used.
