Platformers, run 'n guns, air-dash fighters and shoot 'em ups with the occasional lite RPG or strategy in the rare instance I get tired of the usual stuff.

Re: What's your favorite genres?
I'm really hoping with the next Gen, there is another genre that gets a popularity push.
It just seems that a lot of games nowadays are FPS. I'm so burned out on FPS.

Re: What's your favorite genres?
You know, I have a hard time picking. I think about it a good amount actually. It really just depends on the time of year and what I ate that morning. Over the last year or so, I have been gravitating much more towards RPGs than I ever used to. However, FPS still remains the genre I sink the most time into, and is probably my favorite.
So, FPS, Third Person Action/Adventure, and RPGs would probably be my choice if you asked me today.

Re: What's your favorite genres?
I enjoy games with a narrative that are plot driven, it gives meaningful impetus to the interactions on screen I'm inducing. In other words, I like to feel like there's a "point" to what I'm doing in a video game.
Therefore my top 3 favorite genres are:
RPG
Adventure
Action Adventure

Re: What's your favorite genres?
I'm more of a gameplay guy when it comes to games with a few exceptions, especially with the last choice on this list, but I certainly appreciate a good story too.
2D platformers
Run 'n guns
Beat 'em ups
Space and mech sims
2D tournament fighters
Traditional shmups
On-rails shooters (Star Fox, Omega Boost, Panzer Dragoon, etc.)
Action adventure (especially of the Metroidvania sort)
Text based/point and click adventure
I think that covers it.

Well if you can guess guess by my username, I'm a Harvest Moon fanatic. I love those happy cows. I'm also a huge fan of survival horror.

Are you from California?
(People from outside California probably have no clue what that is referring to)

I must admit I'm a sucker for both economical and political games. Mix in some hidden information and I'm all yours.

Re: What's your favorite genres?
FPS and 3D platformers are my absolute favorites, though I'm also a big fan of action/adventure games. I'll play just about anything as long as it's good (except sports), I don't restrict myself to only my favored genres.
