First up, a list of the items in my setup:
1) Sony PVM-1953MD
2) two genesis model 2's
3) retrogamingcable's BNC RGB Breakout cable (the one with the sync stripper) breakout cable
4) retrogamingcable's genesis euro scart cable euro scart cable
5) I also picked up an ebay RGB female cable (no sync stripper) to see if it might help the issue ebay link
6) composite cables , which work fine on the PVM
Without rambling on - the retrogamingcable RGB cables almost work, the red does not show up in the picture, it's as if i don't even have it plugged in. Otherwise the clarity and picture is fine. Googled and googled and no idea what the issue is. the PVM-1953md has 2 rgb ports on it which you can see in the pictures listed as RGB A and RGB B and they both have the same issues.
Went out and got another genesis for cheap in case my original genesis might have an issue. This one came with composite cables and the composite picture looks fine, but I still have the no red issue on the RGB setup.
Grabbed a generic RGB BNC breakout off ebay, had a different issue, picture shows red but it's as if the white colors are really muted. I'll post a few pictures for detail. Hoping someone will be able to identify the issue since I am at a loss and am fairly new to this, all the research in the world was not able to help up to this point.
posting 5 pictures:
first is the composite picture, no issues

Next up is the Retrogamingcable setup, note the lack of red colors

Next is the ebay rgb breakout cable paired with the retrogamingcable euroscart av out cable. it seems darker/dimmer in person than the picture shows

More detail on the color issue/lack of red with a different game and closer up
first is composite , 2nd is the retrogamingcable setup
