I've seen people beat Blaster Master without having their gun maxed out, but I've never been able to beat the game without being nearly flawless. I usually spend the first fifteen minutes of the game building my gun up and praying I don't get hit.

If you have any tips on the Crab boss, let me know as he's the one that gives me the most trouble.
I really wish I did. That boss is a far as I've gotten in the game so far.

Keep at it. The game doesn't have the best ending, but it sure as hell is rewarding. It's like finishing a marathon, worth all the hard work.

I think the only reason so many people played that game is that it was one of the only decent options at launch.
That's probably why. It's like they took a shooter from the PS2 and ported it to the PS3. PS2 FPS games aggravate the hell out of me.

I don't agree. I think Resistance was an excellent FPS. The way the health works took some getting used to, but I thought the gameplay was great. And each successive entry is better.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

For the love of Christ, how can Splatterhouse (via 360) be an Altered Best Clone with basically the same gameplay, be so much more difficult than the game it copied?

FFS, I prefer no power-ups/weapons in Splatterhouse as they only seem to slow you down. Sure, they look cool, but don't add enough "umph" to use them.

I'll beat Splatterhouse (arcade/TF-16 port) tonight, and gosh darnit I'll beat the 360 game, and 2&3 again tomorrow for Ft13th.

Just avoid the new one that came out around 2010 or so. It goes off the deep end.

That's the one I'm playing to unlock the games I don't own.

It's Arkham Asylum without brains, but it's not like AA is that smart to begin with. I'll also say that the 2-D levels in the "new" Splatterhouse are awesomely and disgustingly charming.

All four games will meet their demise with 48 hours.

Ah, then in that case, yes, use the weapons. In some instances, you're required to. And remember, if it has a face, you can kill it. If it has part of a face, you can kill it. And if it lacks a face completely, beat it until you create a bruised and pulpy mash which sort of resembles a face, and THEN kill it.
