The thought of another Metroid or Zelda (not BS or anything, a real one) on the SNES... my mind explodes.
I'm surprised neither one got a sequel, as early as they came out.

well we did get an amazing sequel to Super Metroid on the GBA, the GBA is basically a portable SNES. I always wished someone talented would port a romhack Metroid Fusion to the snes so I could make a repro cart. We are getting a sequel to Link to the past on the 3DS soon.Xeogred wrote:Super Metroid or Link to the Past.

Well Virtual Boy came out a year after Super Metroid, but I don't think that's the reason and the game was more Yoshio Sakamoto's baby if anything.ZeroAX wrote:whiteyfats wrote:Xeogred wrote:Super Metroid or Link to the Past.

When did Gumpei Yokoi leave Nintendo? Maybe that had something to do with it

That's true I wasn't thinking about that. It's the same Link even if I recall correctly. They're my favorites as well.BoneSnapDeez wrote:When he was murdered.ZeroAX wrote: When did Gumpei Yokoi leave Nintendo?
I always felt that Link's Awakening felt like a fitting sequel to Link to the Past. My two favorite Zelda games by far.
I actually consider Link's Awakening superiorGunstar Green wrote:That's true I wasn't thinking about that. It's the same Link even if I recall correctly. They're my favorites as well.BoneSnapDeez wrote:When he was murdered.ZeroAX wrote: When did Gumpei Yokoi leave Nintendo?
