The Vin Diesel nanny movie is on MTV right now. All I can say is that plunging v-neck shirts should only be worn by women.

That movie is bizarrely awesome!

Also, funny enough, you can see the movie poster in the background in The Book of Eli.

Just saw Elysium last night.

It was a fun ride, and not a BAD movie... but it definitely wasn't that great. Huuuuuge plot holes, especially the very last few minutes of it. For those of you who are curious, behind the tag:
Okay I can accept the "revolutionaries" wanting to "save the world" by healing everyone -- never mind that healing everyone on the vastly overpopulated Earth will actually make overpopulation worse and thus make everything worse for them -- but what I have SERIOUS problems reconciling is WHY did they have a massive fleet of ships that all had like 40 medbays in each? When EVERY freaking house appeared to have one in their house, why would you need like 8-10 ships with 40 medbays each? Like... they gave the impression that maybe 1 or 2 Elysium citizens are on Earth at any given time. So there's no reason that you'd need that many!

Also, wtf with the adding all earth citizens to the elysium citizen database? Okay, cool, but what about the ID tag burned into your arm that's supposedly "encoded with your dna"? CLEARLY you don't have that on every earth citizen, and the medbays were looking for that! I can accept that the droids just somehow... knew.

And for that matter, was the head of Armadyne the last person who understood how to code? Like... Spider was able to identify it as a reboot sequence, and was able to modify the database to make every earth citizen an elysium citizen, soooo... what exactly was preventing the reboot code from being executed again? Or for that matter since apparently the only thing that the encryption did was kill the person who had it in their head (not particularly useful if you ask me, since you can just jam it into the head of someone you don't like, and then put it into the computer from their head since APPARENTLY doing the person to person transfer doesn't kill the initial person, just doing the person to computer one), why can't you just run the code that they "picked up during the transfer" (what? How? Huh? Spider gets to see all the code on his computer, yet apparently has to use Matt Damon's brain to upload it? Okay)

But yeah... the fleet full of mobile hospitals was the part where as I'm watching it, I go "WHY WOULD THIS EVER EXIST?"... the rest of it is just nitpicking afterwards.
On the whole though, I did enjoy watching it.

Yes, Jason didn't wear Doc Martins and banana republic jeans, but it isn't a bad get up. My wife won't be thrilled, but my guy pals will get a kick out of it.

Loved it. Kinda wish I could have seen it in theaters, though.

Can't wait for the next one, but only on two conditions:

1) Charlie Evans is the villain
2) He's played by Paul Iacono or Kevin McHale

I have been, for years upon years. And I loved it, too. Way better than the first Abrams film.
