Walt doesn't care about money. He cares about family. That is what the money has always represented. It's the reason why he's raised all that money. Jesse attacks the money, he's attacking Walt's family.

Sorry for being indirect. I thought context clues would be enough.Oxymoron wrote:It's the reason he became Heisenberg in the first place.

I think he lost phone reception before confessing over the phone to Jessie. He babbles on and on about killing all the people that he killed with no response from Jessie the whole time. He starts yelling at Jessie not to burn his money and the he's still on the phone and says he didnt hang up. He then realizes Jessie is not on the other end, drives frantically to the spot just a few minutes down the road, to find nobody is there and realizes he got played. Hank tracked him as far as he could till the signal was lost. All Hank had to do is continue down the only road until they spotted his car. This is my theory on it anyway.
On another note, Jessie Pinkman (Aaron Paul) is from the area where I live, He went to the Centennial High School a mile down the road. Next Sunday he rented out one of the movie theaters and is going to sit with a few hundred people and watch next weeks episode. Trying to win tickets for that!

Since Dexter is on its final season as well, it really makes you look at how well written Breaking Bad is.
Overall it was always better regardless, but as far as final season games, Dexter has barely done anything, Breaking Bad had me going 'OH SHIT!' like 3 times and episode, with every episode end making you die for more.
Such a well done show, such a well done last season.

Breaking Bad made not go down in history as my favorite show of all time, but it's up there. And as long as they don't screw up the last few episodes, it may be the only show I've ever seen where I honestly don't think they ever had a bad episode. Even The Wire didn't pull that off.
Breaking Bad is amazingly polished for a TV show. It's always had focus and momentum and good pacing.

Dexter was already hurting itself, but now that it's running at the same time and I'm watching it right after Breaking Bad, it's just getting sad. Dexter was (and maybe still is) in my top 5 favorite shows through season 5, but this season is a disappointment. Where's the finality? Where's the change up? Why not bring back the threat of Quinn? Why has my favorite comic relief character been relegated to a terrible subplot about his pot-smoking test-tube created 20 something daughter? Why not reveal Dexter's secret to everyone and show him on the run? I've never seen a show play it so safe in their final season. Hell, even the office put some relationships on the line at the end.

I would have to disagree. I think at the beginning, he cared about his family more than anything. He started cooking/selling meth as a means to provide for them after he died from the cancer. But over the course of the show, his priorities have shifted, his greed has grown, and he's become a much more self-centered and sadistic man. Remember when he missed the birth of his daughter in order to make that big meth exchange?Gamerforlife wrote:Walt doesn't care about money. He cares about family. At this point, he cares more about his stature as a (former) drug kingpin and about his millions than he does his family. Not saying that he doesn't care about his family, because he certainly still does. I just think that he cares about the money and the power more.

Any views of Better Call Saul?

I feel like something like this can only hurt Breaking Bad. I would love it if it worked, but I feel a 'Joey' coming on.

Haha, I was more meaning they had a top rated show, which the spin off utterly tanked.
