If debating the meaning of "hardcore games" is a central part of someone's identity, then he should seriously reconsider his priorities and what he hopes to get out of life. Likewise, if someone insists on debating the meaning of "hardcore games" in threads completely unrelated to the topic, then he is annoying his fellow forum members and, for their sake if nothing else, should reconsider making any more posts on the subject.
