Still would have been cool though haha... the Sprint Center is pretty new so that was awesome (though it felt like an airport outside of the stadium area). $36 for a 6-pack though, lol.
did you go to the KC show? i saw Bruce Springsteen there last year and really liked the venue. it was pretty huge.
the maiden show at the Bridgestone Arena was insane. i should post a couple of the shitty cell phone pics i took, we were on the floor and had an awesome time. it was nuts. great show. still in awe.
I think they should make an offshoot show for Metalocalypse with a European style Power metal band who are Dethklok's rivals or some such. And make them even more fucked up than the Dethklok guys.

Is the insistence on using female lead vocals in power and doom metal coming from bands looking for a way to differentiate themselves? I've found a couple I've liked, but hearing operatic female vocals over either generally tend to turn me off, although there are exceptions.

Many of the gothic/symphonic bands already have female vocals, and you can draw a line from that to doom fairly easily. Wouldn't be surprised if many of the bands you're thinking of are related in some way.

Yeah, it was sold out and everything. Not sure how many people the place holds, but an epic amount for sure. The crowd was pretty awesome and both bands loved it.

No, what they should do is Korgoth of fucking Barbaria
Fuck you adult swim. You had a diamond in your hands and you flushed it down the toilet. You must be the most incompetently run TV network in the history of man. I don't say that only because Korgoth was canceled, I say that because I've seen some of the shows that are on adult swim. Good God what crap. But decent animation costs, so they'd rather buy 10 awful shows with the same money it takes to produce one good show, while investing money in a show that isn't garbage would 100% guaranteed make them more profits than the stuff they have on now.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Actually, Adult Swim is one of the most successful networks on television, and would be considered the most successful if it ran 24 hours a day instead of 12.

Have they considered going full 24 hours?
No. There's a limited number of channels available for television networks to operate on, and generally they are all full. So for a new network to operate, they usually have to purchase an old network. In Adult Swim's case, they share a network slot with Cartoon Network: 12 hours CTN, 12 hours Adult Swim. Because Adult Swim operates at night and offers content aimed at the 18+ crowd, they do not have to worry about rules concerning airtime during working daylight hours or for children. If they went 24 hours, they would be forced to consider these issues with their programming. And dealing with television advertising and children is an absolute nightmare.
Grognack looks like it would have been badass, much better than my idea.
Beastwars is the shiiiiiit. I really wish I could get a neon pink "Obey the Riff" shirt like the picks they used to give out, but I've only found white text on black t-shirts.
