I'm going to have to go with Boring and go with the DS (and even the PSP) honestly. As far as home consoles, I feel like both had a lot of personality going in but over the last 3 or 4 years have gotten as stale and cookie cutter as they could. Sony has done much better in my opinion but I have zero attachment to either console. This might be more to do with my general switch to being PC focused than any fault of the consoles though.

If I had to go for a home console I would have to choose the Wii closely followed by the PlayStation 3.

I enjoyed all the consoles and handhelds this gen. I played the 360 and DS the most followed closely by the PSP. I like the PS3 but many of the games are in my backlog as I tried to play the multilayer games while they were relevant. I play multiplayer on 360 and PC.

My wii got the least play time from me. A few first party games and a couple RPGs interested me, but that's all.

That's "Special place in my heart", mind you. I'm guessing left ventricle, the best ventricle.

The Wii cause it will probably have the most hidden gems, specially for a platformer fan like me.

The DS because it's the SNES and PS2 of this generation, the console with the highest amount of unique and good experiences. Every person can find something he will like. It had great platformers, AMAZING puzzle games, RPGs, rhytme games, and even some decent enough FPS games. That touch screen revolutionized handheld gaming imo.

Now I want to say the PS3 too cause it has some exclusive that I loved, but to be honest they are about 5 (give or take), and that wouldn't be something I will hold very highly in the future.

By that I don't mean it was a bad console, it was a GREAT mainstream console with some obscure great games too, for us racketeers, but most of the stuff I enjoyed on it I can get either on PC, or I can get similar experiences elsewhere. So while it was my most played console of this gen, and I own the most games on it, I know it will be easily replaced by the PS4 in the future.

Gonna be PS3 for me even though my Shmupbox 360 gets a lot of play.

I actually think you can make the argument that the DS has just as many or more RPGs than the PSP...

No argument there. But some folks may prefer the selection PSP. Some DS. Based on my personal experience, I prefer the PSP. But both have plenty to offer.

Probably not even though by the looks of it, it will outlive the Wii PS3 and 360
