Dragon Knight & Graffiti

Trying to collect the whole series. There are four games, that one is the first. I own part 2, 4 is on its way, and I'll likely get part 3 later this year (it's generally under $50).

But damn, there's no easy way to get part one. There are other ports but I don't have a MSX or X68000 laying around.

Is there an echo in here?
The Mega Man X series is the first thing I thought of as well. However, I thought of Mega Man Xtreme 2 and its silly instakill inconsistencies.

Taken from mmhp.net:
Oddly enough, lava doesn’t instantly kill you in this game, even the rising lava that fills most of the screen. However flood waters that similarly fill most of the screen do kill you instantly. I’ve yet to see the logic behind this. (To top off the inconsistency: some flood waters will merely push you backward without harming you, but these are uncommon. Also the fireballs in Flame Mammoth’s stage sometimes kill you instantly—and sometimes don’t—so watch out. (Note: Yes, I know the water flashes yellow sometimes and that flashing water will kill you. However in the fortress stages the water is not flashing and it still kills you. So...hello inconsistencies.))

The lava in Tourian at the end of SM? Can't remember if that was or not, but it was lava+++ like the bit to get into lower Norfair.

Damn it's been awhile since I've played Super Metroid and Link to the Past.
I hear that.

There were 2 types of lava as I recall in SM: the brighter color, orange, bubbled lava, which the Varia or Gravity suit could easily survive in, but your health would start to drain without one of those, and the brownish, flat top lava which kind of looks like beer; that would hurt you regardless of suit, and that's the stuff you encounter in Norfair and in the final Mother Brain encounter in Torian.

Another thought....... playing imports in the N64 - that's just a semi-simple physical mod right? No soldering? I'd really like to play Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Earth, Fushigi no Dungeon: Fuurai no Shiren 2 - Oni Shuurai! Shiren Jou!, and Wonder Project J2...

Nice! I have 3 N64s so I'll certainly mod one when I have the chance.

It would certainly be a fitting start-up for something so magnificent as that computer. It makes me drool. So beautiful.
