Just watched 22 episodes of Space Battleship Yamato 2199 in a row. Waiting for the final 4 to be released now.

Thinking of getting this figure from the series: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail ... URE-000373

I love how their solution to making the remake less "sexist" than the original series was to fill the ship with women in skin tight uniforms and make them eye candy.

I've never seen the original series and thus have no idea how it compares really. Pretty sure Yuria isn't in it and Akira is a guy. Nurse and Niimi probably not there either...

Either way, definitely like it a lot. It's so cheesy and predictable but just fun to watch. And thus me and a friend watched it for 9 1/2 hours straight.

There is one female character on the entire ship in the original (I'm sure that would go over great), so that's the difference. Yuki is the character. And yes, Akira is a male Cosmo Tiger pilot.

I only keep these around for kids. Except for the Darth Vader Telephone and bank...and Spike the Gremlin. And Thanos...And the Hulk...Okay, I like 'em all.

Any kid who played sports had to have some of these:

I ended up giving most of my action figures to my younger siblings a few years ago. I didn't consider them a collection, just toys that I had outgrown. I want the superhero ones back now! I'm pretty sure I had a 12-inch Spider-Man.

I don't make too much money, so I've limited myself to one figure every month or two at a for now. I see how collecting these could get out of control

I got into these figures in kind of a strange way. I have some friends who collect them and I never understood the appeal. Why bother? They're good for nothing and a total waste of money, right? They told me I wouldn't understand unless I experienced it, so I went ahead and bought the GUMI figure. I decided to put it on my desk so I could stare at it whenever I was waiting for my computer. Now I understand.

Only action figures I have are from Magic Knight Rayearth and Etrian Odyssey.... And they're still in the box.

I really like the way these action figures look, but at the end of the day I wouldn't have money for them. Plus, I wonder how my wife would react if I started collecting these...

When I was young I played with Ninja Turtles figures... of course. And my dad told me the other day that I used to have some My Little Pony figures too - I was a brony!

Is that a 'scrubbing bubble' on the right? That's a pretty rad mail in offer guy if so.
