someone should design a game where you are the lava and the point of the game is to get people to fall into you, to hit them with lava fireballs, etc.

Maybe not instant, but usually certain. Usually.

Lava isn't instant death in the Mega Man X games if you are wearing a power suit.

I always thought that was kind of the point of the New Super Mario Wii and Wii U games with their multiplayer feature. I always antagonize, picking people up, trying to throw them into lava, bursting their bubbles over obstacles.

In New Super Luigi U there is a character whose sole purpose is to antagonize. They are invincible (except from falling into pits) and can't use power ups, but can steal them, so they can just rush through the level forcing other players to catch up.

The lava in Tourian at the end of SM? Can't remember if that was or not, but it was lava+++ like the bit to get into lower Norfair.

Damn it's been awhile since I've played Super Metroid and Link to the Past.

Not that I'm up on all platformers since they aren't my style, but seems that often if there isn't a life bar and they don't want to insta kill you they make it quicksand instead of lava.

Do any Turrican games have lava?

Your health bar drains so fast it might as well just be a one-hit-kill game like Contra.

Read about an obscure game, get inspired to play it...

Hop on eBay to check prices...

Get hit with triple-digit price...

Story of my life. :?
