Maybe the absence of lyrics has something to do with it?

It has more to do with the fact that the man is a composer of different sorts. His harmonies are melodies, percussion is the strings, string are the percussion, etc.

...and sometimes I think he's just goofing around with a keyboard (ambient works). A two minute chord is still a two minute chord.

But as selective I am when listening to music, I still can appreciate all of his work. Not that I'd try to put the moves on a girl while listening to Ventolin, but I get that it's music.

Has anybody bought an item on ebay and it doesn't show up in your purchase history? I bought an item and I paid through paypal and it said my payment is still processing, but it doesn't even show up in my purchase history. I logged into paypal and the transaction isn't there so I don't know what the deal is

You sure Ebay isn't just doing maintenance right now? Sometimes at night I get that "Not all of your information is available at this time" at the to of my watch list.

I installed the Windows 8.1 beta this morning. So far, I'm not noticing any real improvements. Still mediocre. I don't just want the option to boot up to the desktop screen, I want the old start menu back and I want to be able to disable the start screen along with all of the apps. I hate clicking a file type I haven't manually configured to open with VLC or some other program of my choosing and accidentally booting up some slow horizontal-scrolling app that hijacks my entire screen.

So I've been strongly considering moving to Austin, TX. I'm currently in Abilene. Never moved out of town before.

I know we have a few Austin area members, does anyone have any useful tips or info for someone wanting to relocate there?

General "moving to another city" stuff would be helpful too.

Austin is a really nice city. The public infrastructures (roads, bridges, etc) all look nice an well-maintained, there's plenty of variety for shopping and eating, and it's centrally located within driving distance of both San Antonio and Dallas/Fort Worth. I don't know anything about Abilene so I can't tell you how the two compare, but you can certainly do a lot worse in Texas than Austin. *coughSanAntoniocough*

I like San Antonio, but I do get what you are saying.

Apple pretty much got it though. Lots of places to hang, drink, and eat. Lots of stuff to do, music everywhere. I just happen to get lost there pretty easy- unless there are neon signs or something that really catches my attention, everything runs together for me. I doubt its a problem for most people though.
