I'm seeing Iron Maiden and Megadeth live today.
For free
Premium suite.

Somehow, that just happened over a day. My friends dads boss is the vice president of whatever, and yeah. Rocking out tonight'.

Finally, a metal victory in Kansas!
dude, enjoy. i saw them both in nashville on thursday and it was a fucking blast. megadeth was pretty sub-par, but maiden really delivered the goods. we were something like 30 feet from the stage on the floor. amazing.

the setlist is near-flawless, too :)

Yeah, will be the second time my friend has seen Maiden live and he's stoked. Can't wait to see this. This will be my second real concert too, saw Dream Theater with some other bands a few years back which was pretty good.

Just came out of a double ear infection though, so I better get some good plugs haha.

Shitty pictures:

It was freaking incredible. Megadeth kicked ass and played some good stuff... and then, yeah. 2 hour set for Iron Maiden and nothing but pure hits left and right, every single song pretty much had some giant prop, fireworks, fireballs, giant Eddie on stilts, Bruce jumping around like he's 18 years old, Janick Gers (think it was him) was doing crazy flips and swings with his guitar like a weapon out of Devil May Cry, holy shit it just goes on. This blows my Dream Theater concert out of the water and plus some...

Speechless. Can't believe that just happened.

That looks awewsome! Glad you had a good time! And yeah, Bruce Dickinson is a mad-man onstage.

Heck... I just double checked all of them, every member is over 55. That's so crazy.

 Holy shit! I really regret not being able to go now. I just couldn't afford the tickets. After all the TicketMaster/Bridgestone Arena fees a $35 ticket becomes a $55 ticket. I can't really swing that while I'm out of work. :(

In my 5th (last) picture there, according to my friend the last seats still available a few weeks back were just the ones in that top upper corner area. Still would have been cool though haha... the Sprint Center is pretty new so that was awesome (though it felt like an airport outside of the stadium area). $36 for a 6-pack though, lol.

My first exposure to Maiden was the Live After Death video. Everything I've seen of their modern performances shows that they're every bit as good live now as they were back in the 80s.

I know there's a few fans of Pestilence and Asphyx here, I'm wondering if anyone here is a fan of Van Drunen's current band, Hail of Bullets? It's basically World War II themed death metal.

A song from their upcoming album just came out:

sounds good to me!
