It would seem no one has recommended Kino's Journey. Blasphemy. It's easily the best anime I have seen, will see, and ever hope to see.

Unless they decide to continue Berserk. I'm more a manga person myself, but from what I hear the Gunsmith Cats anime is just as good as the manga, which would mean it is freakin' epic. Nothing deep, but if you like Cowboy Bebop, there's no reason you shouldn't like Gunsmith Cats.

I'm also a huge fan of Slayers. Recently got the Slayers Movie Collection and have never been happier. Speaking of movies, Paprika. It's the best reason to own Blu-Ray.

In my opinion, try not to watch anime's which have been dubbed in english... 9/10 times it sounds horrible!!!
naruto is the most obvious example... a great anime when watched in japanese is absoloutely destroyed when watched in english!!!

but the anime i'm recommending is bleach, it is an absoloutely awesome anime and if u are unable to find it in japanese, the english dubbing is decent, not great... but decent.

The problem with that advice is that the "quit it" portion of the process becomes much more complicated after the "hit it" maneuver has been completed. Much easier to "quit it" before all else.

Most of my favourites have already been mentioned, but i've also got a great apreciation for any anime that deals with Japanese superstitions & belief and the Japnanese Shinto religion and i'd reccomend any of these series;

Mushishi - strange and beautiful anime with a rather sedate pace. Follows Ginko on his journey helping people affected by spirits, or 'Mushi'. Episodes don't necesarily follow on from each other, and each episode is a seperate entity.

Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales - series that re-tells 3 classic Japanese horror stories over 11 episodes/

Mononoke - spin of series from Ayakashi featuring the Medicine Seller character. The series is kind of like Mushishi in the sense that it's about just one character and that episodes don't necesarily follow on from each other - a really unique art-style and some great storytelling make Mononoke one of my favourite anime's of all time.

i heard its American though, trying to act japanese
is it comedy? seems childish
it's american conceptualized and korean drawn. and it's on nickelodeon...so yeah it's made for kids....i'd say pre-teens to be exact. And although I know some "adults" that like it, I think it's bland and not worth your time.
