No worries, CD AGES! YOu missed the deadline for questions, but you'll be glad to know that some of your questions were covered. Specifically #1 and #4.

Regarding #2, Simon shares many stories of dealing with SoA and SoJ, so you might get a feel for his thoughts on this when the show releases.

#3 - That's a great question! Again, you'd have to listen to the show, I can't recall if they talk about still playing the console, but they do name their favorite games.

#5 - Another great question, I don't think they answered this in the show, but there is a discussion on modern indie games and how they are all fans of them.

#6 - I'm certain you'll get an answer for this after you hear their thoughts on the console's legacy.

#7 - Simon was not on staff by the time of issue 12, so I don't know if he has a firm answer. But you will hear several stories which might give you a hint at an answer. Demo discs were pulled in issue 12, and the staff pretty much knew an issue 13 was unlikely, thus explaining why none of them really made a 13th issue. Cancellation seemed imminent. It felt like it was a mix of the public shifting to the PS2, and SEGA being less enthused with licensing an official magazine.

---

It really is a fantastic show worth any SEGA or SEGA Dreamcast fan's time. Hell, if you grew up on gaming magazines in the late 90's, early 2000's it's an essential listen!

The show is likely to go up tonight or early tomorrow.

Really proud of this show, and again I urge anybody reading this to give it a listen. Not for views or web hits or stuff like that (though... I do like those) but for all the awesome stories Francesca, Simon, and Ricardo have to tell.

Truly outstanding discussion. I really would have enjoyed being party to the roundtable discussion on the US Dreamcast launch, and my image of Sega at the time of the Dreamcast. Great stuff.

I also was not aware that there were bug fixes made to a lot of the JP launch games when they were released in the US. I guess I understand more now why Sonic Adventure International was released. Is there a list anywhere of games that were given this treatment upon localization? I know Jet Set Radio also suffered from a number of technical issues before being localized in the US.

A handful of games got tweaked and/or fixed for their US Debut. CART Racing got better more aggressive AI. TNN Hardcore Heat got better physics across the board compared to its Buggy Heat JPN counterpart. Blue Stinger got a whole new camera tweak that makes the game a totally different experience that the JPN release. There's ALOT of games on the DC library that got plenty of fixes for their US release.
