wow. This strongly rivals House of 1000 Corpses as my favorite RZ film. And they're completely different in execution. Just wow.

^Have gotten to see Salem yet, but I've been interested in seeing it. I've heard a lot of conflicting things about it, and people either seem to love or hate it. I'm still out on House of 1000 Corpses, I just can't decide whether I like it or not. I do like the Devil's Rejects a bit better.

You know what else had Michael Keaton? White Noise. Thank about that for a minute.

How you left CYBORG JUSTICE off this list puzzles me.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Android Policeman, perhaps?Ack wrote:But I'm hesitant to call it RoboCop.
Constable Cyborg?
Officer Automaton?
STAR TREK
Not INTO, but the one before it. It was background noise while some friends and I played Uno. I grew up on TNG, and can't say I'm a fan of this movie.

That's the thing, it's clear from the trailer that it's not the same character really. It just shares a name. At this point it's just called Robocop for brand recognition to put asses in seats at the theater.BurningDoom wrote:Can't really say until I see it. I had read nothing about LOS before I saw it. But looking around, seems you're right. A lot of folks love it. A lot hate it. Hmm.Forlorn Drifter wrote:^Have gotten to see Salem yet, but I've been interested in seeing it. I've heard a lot of conflicting things about it, and people either seem to love or hate it. I love House of 1000. It's just an insanely fun homage to so much horror.
Devil's Rejects is prob my least fav RZ film. Which is not to say I don't like it. It's rough to watch though. But has a lot going for it.
Halloween I really enjoyed, and for the most part, I felt like it was a prequel. I liked that direction.
Halloween II is weird. In the theater I seriously hated it. But then we got the unrated (director's) cut and it was like a completely different film. A lot more story. Things seemed to make more sense. After seeing that version I liked it a lot more.
El Superbeasto I just picked up a couple weeks ago, but haven't watched yet.

Yup. Again, judging only from the trailer, Murphy gets blown up by a car bomb. A car bomb. His partner seems to have been shot, doubtfully by a hilarious thug who waves his junk after peeing at an officer.Gunstar Green wrote: That's the thing, it's clear from the trailer that it's not the same character really. Sure, they have to mix it up. Have to. Frame for frame remakes rarely make money, but Robocoop having a one on one with his son looks terrible.
Robocop is about a machine realizing he is a man, not a man knowing he is a machine. Time will tell, and I don't think this stellar cast would have signed up for a crap flop film, but HUMAN LAZER TAG doesn't interest me. Take away the name, the franchise, and this looks really dumb.

1. House of 1000 Corpses
2. Halloween
3. Devil's Rejects
4. Haloween II
.
.
.
.
.
.
9999999999. El Superbeasto
Good luck with that one, noise. Other than occasionally cottoning to the art direction, I found nothing worthwhile in that film.
Salem is high on the priority list. I think House of 1000 Corpses may be my favorite horror movie of the first decade of the century.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I finished watching The Breakfast Club a few minutes ago, for the first time. Good movie, though I wonder how my opinion of the movie would be different if I had seen it when I was still in school as opposed to now when I've working for two years. It's certainly more mature and thoughtful than the average high-school movie, that's for sure.
