Maybe so. All I can say is pace yourself!

For me I'm getting an xbox one on launch as IMO I like the Xbox integration thing with TV and dedicated servers. And well most of my friends that I game with are on xbox live so if I get a PS4 I won't have but only a handful of friends. No doubt that the PS4 will surely have many stellar titles to make me want to get one in the future.

However for the immediate future getting to play Dead Rising 3, Ryse (I know the game is getting a lot of flak for its sub 1080HD resolution but I like hack and slash games a lot so it is right up alley), Crimson Dragon, Killer Instinct is sealing the deal with me. And well aside from that cloud gimmick that remains to be seen what it does that was promised I'm really looking forward to the dedicated servers to accommodate multiplayer games and hopefully reduce the host advantage in FPS games. Can't wait for 11/22. :D

Any one thinks that the bad rep. X1 got might actually help its sales?
Once the X1 is out and its no where near as bad as people presumed it is, and they start seeing a good game here and there, we might see praising and defending of the "Not Bad" consoles , and the bad rep. were media hate. I think it might get some sort of a cult following.

This happens on the opposite , like when something is so hyped and when it comes out and its solid, people are still upset because it did not hit the expectation.

What do you think?

I think there are plenty of people that grew up with a 360 and that's all they see. The next one and WiiU/PS4 don't even factor in.

^I agree but at the same time I agree with rcbh928 as all this "media" hate is getting blown out of proportion and well IMO that some people will get it despite all the negative press and develop a cult following and word or mouth and it will soon sell and do alright as a console platform.

The thing is that despite all the cloud gimmick and TV entertainment set top box integration when people start using it most of them not all will see the ease of use and TV capabilities as a bonus and a big plus. As for the which platform is more powerful I won't even engage in such a debate in that this whole power issue is something that only stirs up fanboy zealotry and whatever the platform xbox one and or PS4 both will have great looking games.

Just for me like I previously mentioned is that at this "point" since "I" like to play online multiplayer games and like the TV features microsofts dedicated servers is what draws me to their platform. Having a lot of dedicated servers and with more TBA in the upcoming years is beneficial to "those" who care about online multiplayer as it still remains to be seen but have IMO have a good indication that the dedicated servers will be the major selling point as IMO the xbox one multiplayer games will be less laggy "overall'" than the PS4 multiplayer games.

Remember how the PS3 was super expensive and Sony recommended you get a second job to pay for it? PS3 did just fine in the end. I predict the same thing here. You'll see most of the same games on each platform, so I imagine people who were mostly 360 last gen will be One this gen, same with PS3/PS4.

I really would like to get a X1 but have yet to stumble upon one......

Now as for the Xbox One, I shall wait until the system is $250 and the games I want are $20-$40.

Xbox One is going to be a solid console. I would bet that a high percentage of those that were originally proclaiming how awful it is and those that continue to do so after all the policy changes weren't going to buy it to begin with. Like some of my friends that were only going to buy a PS4 no matter what regardless of what the Xbox had to offer.

Xbox One is tempting tbh but with already having a PS4 Preorder and a PC, I think I might wait a bit... And it's huge.. About the size of a Digital Cable box, which I barely have room for.. A version without Kinect 2 would have actually enticed me to possibly purchase one..
