Yea. I haven't seen anyone else post about that issue yet. Checked after you mentioned it. Will try my luck tomorrow!

I've been playing the hell out of my Vita lately, and absolutely adore the thing. So far I have Silent Hill: Book of Memories, Gravity Rush, Persona 4, and Assassin's Creed: Liberation. I've also played Uncharted: Golden Abyss all the way through. I'm looking into the import side of things now.

So, can anyone recommend some Japanese Vita games I should import based on the following:

My favorite genres are horror and traditional JRPGs, and the language barrier isn't an issue. My favorite game series currently are the Shin Megami Tensei and Yakuza series. I'm also not trying to break the bank, but I know the games will be on the pricier side due to being newer imports. Of course, I'll hear out any suggestions from any genre!

Anyone else picking up Killzone Mercenaries this week? I'm actually pretty stoked for it, as I was extremely impressed by and sunk a fair amount of hours into the beta. I don't know that I'll have a lot of time to play the game this week unfortunately, but I would love to try and play some multiplayer with folks here.

PS Vita revision. PS Vita TV. 64GB card all confirmed. I'll get all 3 if they make it here. Playing Vita games on the TV at home would be fun.

No idea how touch features would work on it though? Guess I gotta wait to hear more info.

Hope these products don't take too long to make it to the US. Vita TV may not make it here.

Glad the Vita revision uses LCD instead of OLED. Hopefully now they won't make the screen auto dim after 1 minute because it shouldn't have the same burn in issues.

I don't have any burn in issues (that I've noticed) with the OLED. It remains an absolutely gorgeous screen and an LCD screen will be a giant step down, in my view. Marginally slimmer and the same size (?) screen in poorer quality doesn't sound like an attractive redesign to me. It sounds like a way to manufacture a cheaper system that better corresponds to the lower MSRP.

The point is that the reason the Vita screen auto dims after a minute is because of the potential of OLED burn in. It's a preventive measure. With an LCD that may no longer be an issue. As fas as whether the LCD will be a big step down, we'll have to wait and see. I am hoping that because the LCD shouldn't have the same potential for burn in issues that the LCD will not auto dim after a minute like the OLED version does.

Also a fan of slimmer, lighter, and start + select buttons that are easier to actually press. And better battery life.

All this said, I will be waiting for some reviews and comparisons.

I would bet it is safe to say that the better battery life (they are promising an hour boost) is basically due to using a less power hungry screen. The recessed start/select buttons haven't bothered me at all, but I can see them being annoying for particular games, potentially.

Yea. There are definitely some games where I press select and/or start a decent amount, and it is less than ideal. But since there really won't be any games where you are constantly pressing either button it's only a minor inconvenience.

Understandable if others don't find this revision as potentially appealing. I am a bit of an upgrade/revision whore... So, I tend to try every new revision for consoles/portables I own (besides the 2DS).

If it were rolling in a full-size (relative to Dual Shock) D-Pad and buttons, I'd preorder the new one. As it is, meh, I like my white OLED screen one just fine.

The Vita TV is glorious. I've wanted to see that kind of thing for PSP games, but far as I know it was never made (save for some third party conversions/hacks). There might be some issues with touchscreen stuff (unless/until maybe Sony rolls in Dual Shock 4 support), but it's a very smart move to compete with Android consoles and things (assuming it gets worldwide release).

I believe that certain touch screen games, like DJMAX Technica Tune will just be incompatible. But that games that just use things like the rear touch pad for L2, R2 will work just fine. In fact, they'll feel better since using the rear touch pad for additional shoulder buttons is always kind of weird feeling.
