Shin Megami Tensei IV
Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV
Chaos is probably cool. Walter is an alright guy. Jonathan is awful.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV
Any final thoughts on the game after completing it?
Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV
I'll probably do a little write up in the Games Beaten thread, but I really enjoyed the battle system in this game, a lot. The story? Meh. This is the second Tensei game I've played and overall, Persona 4 > SMT IV. I'm probably gonna take a little break and try out Persona 3 Portable in a few months.ZenErik wrote:Any final thoughts on the game after completing it?

If you have patience for difficulty, check out Nocturne, widely considered to be best in the series as far as gameplay goes. Not much going on the story department though. P3P is a nice choice though, it has the improvements from P4 so the battle system has been improved and the visual novel style makes it shorter than the console version (with exact same content, just no running around or ugly polygon characters in scenes)Stark wrote:This is the second Tensei game I've played and overall, Persona 4 > SMT IV. I'd say in general, P4 had a better story and characters. SMTIV has much more interesting and addicting gameplay. They're both great but there's something about the dark, twisted atmosphere of SMTIV that puts it slightly ahead in my eyes.Stark wrote:I'll probably do a little write up in the Games Beaten thread, but I really enjoyed the battle system in this game, a lot.
