Wii Virtual Console on Wii U...

Hey guys,

I am interested in getting games on the Wii Virtual Console through my Wii U. The question I have is: What happens if my Wii U just breaks? I know that Nintendo doesn't have an account system that tracks my previous purchases so is there a way to retrieve my games if my system crashes and I can't turn it on to transfer the data?

For the life of me, I can't understand why Nintendo has not yet gotten with the times regarding user accounts for their systems.

I believe all your original VC games can go on an SD card. Not 100% sure on that though.
